As I said, a lot has changed. Only 14% of the population of Spain attends religious services on a regular basis. During the Franco era, Spanish people were legally obligated to attend church every Sunday.
Although prostitution is technically illegal, the government doesn't care so long as it stays in the brothels. Most of the whores are illegal immigrants from South America (mostly Brazilians) and they're cheap. I've heard 50 Euros is the norm but they supposedly go as cheap as 20 Euros depending on the service.
