Isn't this where Michael Jackson was born?

This all depends what you define as worst. I travel a lot in Africa and Lagos in Nigeria is pretty insane but I find it much more fun that somewhere like Accra in Ghana which is quieter but much more boring.

"Worst" is probably best defined by the place in which you'd least rather live for a year.

No, it would define it as a place that even though people would visit the town under normal circumstances, is a terrible experience.

I wouldnt wanna live in bumble**** bible belt, so I would name every city there.
Tennessee and Indiana (I know not part of the bible belt, but mentioned) are not places that people would visit as a tourist (under normal circumstances).

My vote goes to Tromso, Norway. That place is boring as **** and besides the Northern Lights has literally nothing to offer.

Another vote goes to Lloret de Mar, Spain, but that's a place mostly for young people.

I loved Naples. I had a really good hostel owner though and the first thing he did when I got there was give me a map of the city and tell me what things to see and what areas to avoid.

Also, amazing pizza.

Worst "touristy" city that comes to mind is Newquay, England.

Heh. I've been there and that's a ludicrous choice imo. Apart from anything else it's set in pretty nice scenery, and failing anything else to do you can climb that mountain just out of town and get a nice view. And it's a University town so there are plenty of young people around and the nightlife is decent. Yeah, it's expensive (it's Norway, so no ****) and isn't a 24 hour excitement machine, but cmon it's a town with a population of like 70,000! I bet it stacks up pretty well worldwide against similarly sized places. I shudder to think the kind of ****holes of that size that would be scattered through the American Midwest and South. I could name you a bunch of commonly visited towns in Australia that are worse for sure.

I am not disagreeing. I lived in Oslo for 6 months (so I didnt think it was expensive) and came to Tromso, actually with a big group, but the nightlife wasnt very good (compared to Oslo) and overall it seemed hyped to me.
Obviously, it's probably a better place than most cities that size, but it was one of the only trips in my life that I regretted to go on.

Most European cities have horrible weather, are overpriced and outdated. Most tend to offer very little in the form of entertainment or sight seeing. You definitely need to be selective and generally stick to the obvious places...Prague, Paris, London, Amsterdamn, Berlin, and Rome. Otherwise you will be paying too much for a boring experience.

For me, Paris is a contender.
Shocking I know.
I think the main 'attractions' like the Eiffel tower, Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral is what saved the trip and just might save Paris from taking the title.
But then you enter the subway...
Close call and I've been to many shiity places.

Denpesar sucks too

A place you wouldn't want to live is not efficient, this is a travel forum. If that was the ? I would pick anywhere in India, but India is an amazing place to visit
