Whats stopping anyone from doing this?

Go abroad, rent room or whatever space, set up computer as server, get verified on pokerstars, and then set up a desktop remote viewer and just come back to the states? You could grind in the comfort of your own home! Someone please give me several good reasons as to why not

Because its a lot of effort and money to grind 2c/4c

Plus you'll forget to get off the VPN and jepordise the FTP deal.

Re: Whats stopping anyone from doing this?

yes but not if youre grinding $1/$2 and up. Thats more than enough to pay for a room abroad and cover utilities, rent, and whatever extra! lmao on the FTP deal though. I saw my friend stream Hulu to his Ipad from his laptop (dont ask why) and it seemed good enough, dont see how you cant just grind.

Re: Whats stopping anyone from doing this?

so that you dont have to deal with the crap about moving abroad. all you would do is pay X amount to have space for your computer setup with access to the internet. How is this not any clear?

Likely against the site's TOC. If not, certainly against the spirit of them.

Re: Whats stopping anyone from doing this?

Because PokerStars can see what programs you have running and if you're running a remote desktop app every time you log in for the duration of your session, they will get curious. You will get caught if you do this for any length of time. I know numerous people who have tried it and they can't play more than a handful of tables before the lag sets in.

Yes, poker software is basically spyware, although it is unclear what exactly PS sees vs what FTP or UB or whatever used to see...

Only thing stopping me is that I would hate to win the sunday million and have my funds confiscated

This... Plus if you really wanted to you could set up a server, and everything you'd need, without going anywhere... Google it, but yea, you'll prolly get caught eventually. Not worth the risk imo
