However these dicks that turn up and start yapping on about having friends in the thai mafia or have friends in the police or the old high up in the military BS, and use this to threaten people makes me sick. All it shows is that you are a pussy hole, i never fear dicks who use things like this to try and scare people.
However, if it was a Thai person saying it, it would scare the **** out of me tbh

Hmm, I've seen someone getting a kicking by the local motosai drivers at the command of a bargirl, so I wouldn't be too sure. To be fair the guy deserved it though as he was being a drunk ass.

Re: Thailand Chatter Thread

this toothless drunk klaus bar owner in Karon told me if i didnt take care of this girl he would "sort me out"

Then he said "well, you can probably handle yourself... but i know people who can sort you out - i have ways"

This was all unprovoked, he just staggered over as a drunken sloppy mess. Then he started cussing out his wifes niece who was working the bar for being "a mouthy bitch" and then started giving me rather intimate details of his financial situation whilst his wife would periodically shout at him to stop discussing personal problems with a stranger.

I stirred the pot a little telling him how disrespectful it was that they wouldnt let him drink at his own bar.

drunkards gonna drunk

Re: Thailand Chatter Thread

I was in a bar in WS pattaya some years ago when a guy threw a girl through a glass door, servilely cutting her. He and his buddy fled the bar, the girl was taken to hospital, about 15 mins later 4 scruffy thai guys appear, 2 sit at the bar with a chick and 2 opposite, the street a while later the 2 guys who threw the girl came walking past chatting a smiling, the chick tipped off the thais and all four followed them.

A week later i asked the girls what happened to the men, they told me not to ask about them.

I think Thailand is a pretty safe place on the whole as long as you behave yourself. But there is no doubt if you cross the line you will be dealt with one way or another.

A bar owner I know told me of a story told about an incident he saw a number of years ago. It happened at the Beer Bar complex at the start of walking street, the one with the boxing ring.

One of the boxers there was basically rounded on by a number of motosai drivers who all had knives and basically stabbed the guy to death not only in full view of everyone in the bar complex, but also in front of a number of watching policemen. After they had killed him they collected all the knives up and handed them over to a policeman for disposal, they then threw the body in the back of a Baht bus and carted him off. Don't know what the guy did to deserve it, but he obviously pissed off the wrong person and his death was ordered by the police.

I see falangs badly misbehaving there all the time, and many don't realise how close they are to being getting a severe beating/being killed.

Re: Thailand Chatter Thread

The risk of you being the victim of random crime, like a mugging, is way less here than in Europe and US.
However, as VV mentions, things that would never lead to anything serious in Farang-land can have serious consequences here.

Thais have a reputation for going way overboard. Situations that might cause a punch in the mouth or in the very worst cases a bottle broken over the head, where we come from, here it can easily end up in the offender being completely mutilated, possibly killed.

Different mentality in Thailand mate, you get into a fight in Thailand and your way more likely to get seriously injured/killed and its not even close.

A Thai guy once said to me 'Falang fight to win, Thai man fight to kill'. Once you have pushed them to the point at which they will fight its not going to be pretty.

The vast majority of murders outside bars and clubs are accidental ones consisting of one of the participants in a fight cracking their skull on the footpath. It's not like people are hacking each other up with machetes on a regular basis.

you forgot your source: klaus46s words of wisdom overheard in a bar.

if you look it up they are "accidentally" shooting each other with handguns.

I'm not sure if Thai men are any more violent than the next guy, but I read most Thai men lose their virginity to a prostitute.. is their truth to this? lol
