Two of my best friends and I booked a flight out to New Orleans for spring break this year. None of us have ever been there before, and I was just wondering if anyone that has experienced New Orleans could share some insight about the things we must check out. Mainly, what are the best nightlife spots I'm assuming in the French Quarter, and then again what are some good day things to do. We will be there from March 21-25.
There are tons of famous bars in the French Quarter. Definitely walk down Bourbon St. just so you can say that you have, but there's bars all over the Quarter. Also, Frenchman Street (just outside of the French Quarter) has the best places to go if you want to hear music. Harrah's if you want to gamble, it's just outside the French Quarter but easily within walking distance. Cafe du Monde to eat beignets.
Plenty of other stuff mentioned in the thread gsu linked to.
