In the area I stayed in in Taipei, just outside the major city (Taipei Zoo was a fairly close english train stop I can recall), real estate was quite expensive. Starting around 500k usd for a smallish one floor 4/2 condo.

Re: Taipei, Taiwan

Whats the best way to look for a short term (1-3 months) studio apartment? The best offer I found so far was 1.2k USD but I'd rather prefer to pay a bit less than that.

I'd subtract about 100-200$ from any prices you see listed.

1.2k is really high even for something ballin. Honestly 20,00 TWD will get you something really nice in a good area.

Re: Taipei, Taiwan

been in taipei for a night...JFC the girls are smoking hot. have only been in shilin night market though. i might lose my mind when i go to the mall. shilin is really sick though, so huge, and the arcade area seems fun. wish i could check out nightlife, but with relatives now.

hotter, no chocolate girls here. most girls are pretty well off, and dress nice too.

Re: Taipei, Taiwan

pretty sick, went to mainly malls (101, sogo, new york) and night markets. definitely felt a lot different than bangkok, more like an american city. night markets are a lot of fun to go to, shilin seems like a great place to dick around. food is great too. really wish i could have checked out the nightlife though.

Re: Taipei, Taiwan

For tourist visas, yeah they're pretty short. But you can always do visa runs and re-new them. Don't know the logistics too well behind visa runs though.
