Poker is open, for now, in Resorts World Sentosa Casino. Last year, when I was in Singapore, I went to the casino expecting to be able to play poker against other people and was very disappointed that they did not have any Poker tables. Not wanting to waste my visit, I sat at the money guzzling slot machines and lost 100sg within 30 minutes. I played roulette for a while, betting on red and black. I ended the losing night with a wishful 100sg bet on 13 which of course failed. I left bitter and a little lighter than when I came, but of course, the attractions at Sentosa are amazing and appeal to a different breed of people. I can care less for the shows and the Universal Studios Theme Park. What I love is live poker... and as of May they have it!

sounds good, i take it the games are soft? whats the rake like?

They spread SGD5/10 as main games and higher upon request. They is a SGD25/50 game running now.

5/10 is min 300 max 1500 (Rake is killer at 10% cap at SGD50, min pot 100 to rake.)
25/50 max only 5000 (some strange legal cap apparently.)

There's a 100/200 (US$80/160) game that runs regularly as well. It's always 6-7 local pros and 1-2 businessmen (usually Indonesians). Biggest hand I saw:

Pro 3bets, pro2 calls, business men calls, flop 663dd. 3-way all-in on the flop. Pro had J6o, pro2 didn't show, businessman had A10dd. Turn A river blank, S$105K pot.

The poker room has 7 tables, most nights there's 3-4 tables going with 1 higher-limit table (10/20, 50/100 or 100/200). Game is quite soft for 5/10.

FYI it's in the smoking area and you can smoke at the table.

Advisable to stay away from rws casino if your plan is to grind. too many regs there + super high rake.

Not to mention they rake preflop as well regardless of action.
