I have plans on staying around the LA-area and hopefully get a decent grind on. Been to vegas 3-4 weeks and while its fine to be alone, it is a lot better if you are a group of people but my closest friends are working this august while I am not.

What I am hoping to find; 1) Some people to share an apartment with or a room to rent. I believe my budget would be from like 300$-2000$ for 2-3 weeks. 2) Nice people to have a drinks/dinners with. 3) Never been to LA but it would be cool with some "casinopartners" or whatever. Not sure how central the commerce or other casinos are but heard that LA is kinda spread out and you really dont want to take the busses so perhaps some kind of travelling solution would be nice.

About me; Swedish, mid-twenties. Like to go out. Play mainly fixed limit shorthanded at around $3/6-5/10 after playing a lot higher for the most of my poker career but am learning PLO and mixed games. Play at 0.25/0.5 and 0.5/1 PLO and the results are starting to become decent.

If anyone would be able to help me with any of the above then please PM or reply to this thread. The available dates for travelling would be 16 august - 10 september.

People from LA are douche bags. If you have no car, then you are fcuked, because you need a car to get around. Unless you want to take the bus 5 hours a day.

Hehe. I know some non-pokerfriends that lives in LA and I have been to vegas and it is both nice+depressing at the same time.

There is no way you can make it staying in LA without a car. Even if you rent for the time you are there, it cuts into your expenxe budget. And the games are no good
