Hello everyone,

I am gonna go to North Cyprus for a few months and was wondering whether someone could tell me if its possible to connect to pokerstars and play real money games there. Due to the recent changes in pokerstars policy when they decided to stop offering real money games in several countries, I am bit worried I might not be able to play from there.

Yo, it would also be appreciated if somebody could share information about live games. What stakes are common, etc

yeah you can play online, no problem.

For the live games, I wouldn't recommend this place coz of very high rake. The high stakes games (10/25+) run very rarely and 5/10 is imo almost totally killed by the rake.

Bump. All other online sites available sites available as well? Sites don't count it as Turkey？Going to cyprus tomorrow, not sure where ill be staying but planning to stay one month plus. Anybody else there hit me a pm. All the suggestions where to rent a room from are welcome as well. Would like to live close to the beach.

Yeah, played there a few times. Merit runs 5/10$ with 3% uncapped.

Merit only runs 1/2$ and 2/5$ during events such as bigger MTTs. On regular days just 5/10$.

5/10$ has a circle of regular players, usually tight Turkish guys in the mid 40s. These house players or regular players are all pretty bad but still tight. In general I would describe the game as a tight passive one.

dsq2 what do you think about grinding for a few months in kyrenia like july- september. Would it be worth it or just a waste of time with how nitty you say the games are?

I actually played in Kyrenia already ... was in 2016. However it was during a festival and 2/5+5/10 games were insanely tough with ****load of Russian online regs. No idea how it is out of a festival tho...

Just an FYI on Cyprus, I was at the Merit Crystal Cove a few days ago and the first night there was no game at all and the second night we had 5 handed 5/10, which the nitregs started around me hoping I was a fish. Extremely boring. So def don't come here in the off season when there are no-festivals going on. I was pretty disappointed!
