Poland, Questions?
I'm a 22 year old HU NL player currently living in Warsaw, but I grow up near Wroclaw and spent my high school there. I'm studying economics (not doing great, guess why:P) and train triathlon for Ironman distance.
The country is known for its attractive tourist-spots, history, great parties and ofc for the most beautiful women in the world
Animated short history of Poland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DrXgj1NwN8
Short vid with pictures of Poland: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMNMe...eature=related (music sux, but haven't found better one)
If u have any questions about regarding Poland or anything, I'll try to help.
During summer I run two guesthouses near baltic sea in Wladyslawowo (near Gdansk). I'll be there from July to August with all my grinding stuff. I'd be happy if u would like to come, especially Hu players. Pm me if want more info
Now some pics of polish girls:

how busy does Wladyslawowo get in the summer? Given that I went to Sopot last May Day how would it compare in terms of things to do/the beach/parties?
I kinda impulsively bought a ticket to Wroclaw for July so I'm kind of tempted to roll through now.........

Every summer Wladyslawowo gets super busy. It has like 15k inhabitants, but during summer it is like 150k or even more. The beach is rly wide, clean and sometimes rly crowded. I've worked there as a life guard for about 3 years, and i rly love the place (but maybe im not totally objective ).
If u dont lik crowded beaches, u have Chalupy 2km from Wladyslawowo. There are rly nice places, where u can sunbathe without seeing other people They spread all along the Hel Peninsula (abuot 33km). On the other side there is Puck Bay and it great spot for sufing and kite surfing.
Wladyslawowo is tourist city, so cant go to theatre or museum there. All those things are in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot and it is 1h by train from Wladyslawowo. On the other side u can party here all night, every day. There some rly nice places to go and as u probably know polish people know how to have fun. I'll show everything if u come. This year also all discos along the Hel Peninsula are closed due to some new restrictions, and all parties have to be in Wladyslawowo. I can't even imagine it right now, cos there are more than 1 million people nearby. i suppose there will be lots of new spots to go.
Beside all that there is the Central Sports Centre called "CETNIEWO" with great sports-recreational facilities like swimming poll, tennis courts and spa.

If u want to know something more, I'd be happy to help.

hmm it depends, most people know english only at basic level, so you won't have problems with shopping, ordering meal etc. Almost all young people know english, but they do not speak fluenlty. Ofc u will meet without problem people, who speak rly good, but they in most cases come from big cities and finished good high schools. Just wanted to give you general idea

Summers see an average temperature of about 20°C to 27°C. In parts of southern Poland, away from the moderating influence of the coast, summer temperatures can actually reach in excess of 30°C.
Can't help with girl from pic, but you can be sure that there will be lots of girls like her on first party u come to

There are casinos in every big city, but u can't play poker, cos it is officially banned. In reality u can play some tournaments in most cities and probably also cash games. Most action is in Warsaw, but u have to know where to go.
Online poker is also illegal, but thousands of polish people play online. I have never heard of any problems, cos u play online poker. I'm not sure what u mean by " is it safe to have accounts in banks there". Polish banking system is stable and low event risk. In terms of poker there are not many real poker pros in poland, but most of them use moneybookers or neteller, when making withdrawals. Nowdays i dont see any risk, but still i wouldn't make direct transfers between pokerroom and bank acc just in case. Hope that is what u wanted to know If not, answer for details.
I think you will have problems with communication only using basic russian. From what I have seen u will understand sth, but they wont, unless u are somehow great at charades :P U will do much better with english.

Re: Poland, Questions?
Hi there!
You opened the topic at the right moment, op! Thanks for that
Just this days I closed a semi-route which obviously Includes Poland. Initially I was planning to visit Warsaw, Wroclaw and Krakow but now you mentioned this beach place I am willing to go there too! What do you think of these places ? 20-25 days is enough ?
You said that there are some cash games running there: what limit would it be in euros ?
