Hello,

We've been planning poker house in Canada. We could move there between end of (30.9-30.10)September- October, this year. We are looking for total of 4 grinders, we have 2 guys(Finnish and US) now and we would prefer to have 4 guys going there. Our goal is to have some fun, grind some poker, talk to some chicks, go to gym and so on.

I would personally prefer Toronto, but I'm happy to go Canada, so location isn't deal breaker, but I guess we could plan on it more, when we get enough people. We have also talked about Montreal. Vancouver seems too expensive compared to Toronto/Montreal.

anyway, send me private message and I will give you my skype, so we can talk more. Let's make this happen!

We both play MTTs.

Go gogog!

As someone who lives in toronto I can confirm it is a great choice. That being said, the other options are great too. Don't have to worry about making a bad choice

I too have been wanting to move to Canada to grind full time. Always thought about Winnipeg, but at this point IDC where it is. I'm a relaxed guy, currently employed full time but that will be changing soon. Any idea on

vancouver isn't much more expensive than toronto fyi. summers are a bit better in toronto but winters are also harsher. montreal has the best nightlife of the three.

Do not go to Winnipeg. You'll thank me when you do not go there. Probably the worst city in Canada

The only reason I thought about Winnipeg is BC I'm a huge jets fan. Live about an hour from Atlanta and when they relocated the thrashers I thought about moving there. Why is Winnipeg so horrible? I've never been there

Weather: Winnipeg has the distinction of being the coldest city in the world of its size (there s no bigger city in the world with avg temp lower than wpg). Winters are absolutely frigid, with temps in the -20's and -30's Celsius for months. After the long cold winter, you get mosquito season. The summers are short (and nice temps), but the Mosquitos are such a nightmare.

Size: about 750k... Not tiny, but not large either. Not a whole lot going on.

The downtown is a dump, and is overrun by homeless drunks and thugs. Not much going on down there after 5 either, since all the office workers head to their homes in the suburbs after work.

Wpg does have a certain charm to it, but it is not a place I would ever suggest moving to voluntarily.

I lived I wpg from age 9 to 30 and left a few years ago, so I know what I'm talking about

Thanks for the info. I knew the weather was brutal, but figured downtown around the MTS centre would be nice, and have a good nightlife atmosphere. Maybe I'll just visit once they make the playoffs

halifax is cool. has a large student population due to universities. a lot of pubs etc.
avoid winnipeg.

if considering montreal, quebec city is also a very viable option.

I would be interested if you guys consider Vancouver

I am 27 and Canadian

skype is the same as 2+2 sn

I don't think Vancouver is much more expensive than Toronto or Calgary and the winters are infinitely better.

Van city ftw best weather and live poker in the great white north. Just moved here recently live games are always running in the various casinos throughout the city and are all pretty soft. This coming from a guy who moved from Toronto about 2 months ago.

Oh, so you certainly prefer Vancouver over Toronto? How are the prices compared Toronto and Vancouver?

I live in Canada and thought I'd add my 2 cents.

Winnipeg is ghetto. Toronto and Van are the most expensive by far. Montreal is relatively cheap and is definitely where I'm looking to go.

Also Vancouver has about 200 days of rain per year, so that's something to consider
