Are there any? Or is it ******edly unsafe to play poker in Shanghai?

I want to play 5-10 US there or the renminbi equivalent of like 50-100.

I highly doubt your gonna find a real "poker club" anywhere in China, (besides macau/hk) but gl..

There will def be home games and bar games though. I'd say ask other foreigners you meet at bars is your best bet.

There a few clubs but recently one got raided so some shut down for a while but you can find games, go to a place called THE SPOT on a Monday or Tuesday evening they have a small stakes game but there are quite a few players there and you can probably find what you want by talking to them.

Also if u got the $$$ to play $5-$10 NL, you might as well just jump on a quick (2 hr or so) flight to Macau....

Most clubs have been shut down. A few bars have games, but they can be a little hard to find. I know that Hard Days Night in Jin Qiao has a regular bar poker tourney on Wednesday nights. Free to enter and the bar gives out prizes.

They exist, but in many cases the language at the table is Chinese. So, you're at a distinct disadvantage if you aren't fluent in it.

Besides there are actually few poker clubs in Shanghai 100% legal (for tournaments, CG is NOT legal) but I agree it's hard to find them if you try too google it in english
