I intend to move to HCM. Is there a poker house I could join? Or someone interested in moving there as well?

nyeheh - I'm living in HCMC and so far as I know there are no houses with more than one serious poker player in it. I'm actually looking for a baller poker place in District 1 though. My last apartment was pretty baller but it was too far away from it all.

If you're interested in meeting up to chat send me a PM

veganmav - yes there are a few LHE pros here.

I would be more inclined to move to the beach like nha trang. But it is really important for me to have some players around me. Do you know plo players there?
do you players often meet there? I've checked also sihanoukville because of the late reaction, there I can at least reach some players and there is also a good beach. Also cheaper.

Sihanoukville is in cambodia, not in vietnam. I dont think you will find any poker players living in nha trang, let alone playing PLO.
If you just want beaches and lots of poker players, your best option, by far, is to go to phuket.

yeah I know, I find phuket a bit expensive in the high season, therefore I would prefer vietnam or sihanoukville. I arrive at tuesday to saigon, would be great to meet some poker players.

I used to live in Phuket, and from my experience HCMC is definitely not cheaper.

About 0%. The last time I went to a casino in VN, there are only table games. I suspect not much has changed.

Fellow HCMers, you're all invited to Ladies Night at Lush for Tuesday December 18th. There will be ****ty music but sexy girls, so it sort of evens out. Hope to see you all there.

I've been living in HCMC since September 1st. Staying in D1 near but not in the Pham. I can't agree with all that's posted here but can't prove otherwise. Hard to explain, hard city. Played against men the master the other night, but this is not a country for poker. The banking system alone is suspect at best.
Good place for a 4 day weekend at a beach resort but HCMC is best to avoid.

I'm undecided to be honest. Some good and some bad, hard to explain on a forum.

The traffic, motorbikes, air pollution, touts, backpackers, the daily struggle to get clean water, electricity, internet, clean food. Things that I never even worried about before are now my main focus in life.
