1. Year Built (prefer newer construction)
2. The beach its on/curb appeal/view/location
3. Pool's and jacuzzies on property
4. Other Amenities (gym, lobby, staff, bball/tennis courts, grounds, concierge etc.)
5. American people/english speaking people/american safety and comfort
Please list what you feel are the top condo's based on the criteria.
Any specifics or added info about the place and its amenities/activities would be imensly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Not sure what is new and not. The newer buildings around here seem super gnarly, like 100% resorts with pools, jacuzzis, restuarants...way too nice for me basically. Las Olas grand and Las Olas Mar y sol are 2 new buildings. From your requirements it sounds like that's where you want to be, and even las gaviotas may not be nice enough for you. This guy jake (Imtheocean) made a youtube video about his place, and something like that sounds like it'd be good for you. It was a bit out of our price range anyways, but a nice place.
More power too you if ur ballin like that, those places DEF won't let you down. Calafia I hear is pretty nice as well. fwiw though I hope u want a really nice place due to just wanting something that sick and not for safety reasons. Every condo has 24 hour security and everyone is real chill anyways. We walked to 7-11 at like 3am last night.
How much are you trying to spend here?
A house in town (not beach) you can get for like $500/mo.
A nice 3 bedroom condo on the beach around 1k.
super sick insane place with people waiting on you hand and foot prob like 2k/mo for 2 bedroom. and from what it sounds like this is more what ur looking for? Private cabanas with their own personal jacuzzi to use for free, multiple infinity pools, gym and sauna literally like 10 feet from the water and insanely modern. I kinda hope ur gonna move into something extremely sick like that, cuz we'll defffff be comin over to kick it
Prices aren't set in stone, obv...it is mexico, just giving you a rough idea.

Re: Official Rosarito Thread
haha i did promise pics...ehhh I posted a link somewhere in here, u can check it out on baja123 or look at my fb sometime, I put pictures there...didnt wanna mess with making a photobucket account or however u put pics on 2p2.
How much are you paying OD...around 8 or 9 hundies? I think you have a very similar place to scott.
Smoke situation is: ehhh skype me if u wanna know.
On the beach today the first guy asked us - You want weed, girls, oxycodon?? haha, I was impressed that they've added Rx drugs to their repertoire. Probably tons of schwag U can get anytime, I'm sure you can find the right people that have decent smoke locally, but as my buddy JD puts it you gotta "bring sand to the desert." Medical cards are the easiest things ever to get, and we all have tons of connects in so-cal as well. I'm hoping to just grab a half-pack every few months and that should be plenty for a few of us.

I'm not a baller type, but am looking to sacrifice square footage for a high amenity/high gloss building.
I still think your deal was so awesome/unique because a 4 bedroom in a nice condo for that $$ just doesn't exist.

Lol i went for a walk today on the beach and just kept getting pestered to buy their bracelets, jewelry, sunglasses etc. No womenz although prostitution is legal here lol.
Also got some Nachos at papas and beer. It was decent. Not as many people on the beach as I expected. It's actually kinda cold today so maybe thats why.

Re: Official Rosarito Thread
oh, as far as a list of most baller to just normal baller:
Las Olas (grand, and then Mar y Sol) (Skyrise)
Las Ventanas (Condo complex)
Las Gaviotas (Condo complex)
There's a few buildings that seem similar, although I haven't looked into them. La Jolla Del Mar seems nice, but CafeNoir lives there and doesn't like it, maybe talk to him. Calafia is another, OverDose lives in La Jolla de rosarito and likes it. Marena and Las Palmas are others. These are all skyrises.
Condo complexes are las ventanas, las gaviotas, mission viejo, la paloma... many many more.
If you just want to book something online that's great, you can pretty much tell how sick all the places are from the price. Good to ask about location though, if that matters to you. Obviously coming here directly and looking on your own you'll have access to probably 10 other complexes that aren't listed online from what I can tell.
There's prob 10 skyrise condo's that are similar, and another 10 condominium complexes that are similar.

Snowboarding is only like 3 hours away, and friends/family all live in LA as well, plus just being able to drive 30 minutes and be back in America if we ever feel the need.

Spoke to a poker player from mexico. He suggested Puerto Vallarta, said it was safe and amazing. He also said PDC was safe too. I had done a lot of research and felt that Rosarito was safe for the most part, but the mexican player said that it was too close to Tijuana for him to think it was that safe (but he did admit he wasn't sure about this).
I agree with Bolivar that Puerto Vallarta seems like the best choice, but the convenience of being close to the states is hard to beat. Plus I know that some people from the states retire to Rosarito, so if that's true, how dangerous can it be?
