It's located about a mile away from the Walmart in Rosarito (walking distance), right on the water in a gated community. Rent is $2000 per mo + util. This will be divided by 4 or 5, depending on the # of roommates we get. To move in you will have to pay 3 months rent (first mo, last mo, SD). All of the 5 BR have large beds (no twins iirc), there are 3 kitchens in this joint, a pool table, huge deck, two living rooms ... it's a really sick place. We have up to two spots available for August through October. We may be staying here through Christmas, but we are only signing a 3 month lease. If anyone is interested or has any questions, send me a PM.
One room taken, one room left available. It will be $400 per mo + util with 5 people. $1200 to move in. We are moving in on Monday, the landlord is letting us move in a few days early.

Re: Official Rosarito Thread

Hello 2+2 I'm just checking to see if anyone currently in Rosarito has a room open or if anyone is looking to move down there soon and wants to get a place? I'm an easy going, clean and organized guy looking to get back on Stars asap. PM me if you know of anyone or are interested in looking for a place. Thanks and good luck at the tables...

Re: Official Rosarito Thread

Just arrived today. Place seems really ideal for low-key grinding. Great beach view. Grocery Store is really close. Just all around, seems like a great place for anyone considering making the move down here. Anyone like to mess around on the turntables in their free time? Holla.

Trying to decide on coming down to Rosarito or back to Cabo next month. Anyone want to convince me to pick Rosarito?

La Jolla de Rosarito. Tower 2.

Post pics of grind station tomorrow when more light comes up.

Only thing the view is missing is some of those fine bananas from San Diego/So Cal. Anyone out there that can help with that?

Bears are taking over the beach in Rosarito. I'd head to Cabo if I were you.

Re: Official Rosarito Thread

Hey, I'm looking to move over at the end of this month as my lease is ending in the UK and I'd like to check Rosarito out. If there was a spare room going anywhere that would be ideal, but I'm potentially up for starting something new if people are interested/ serious. Hit me up if this applies to anybody.

having lived in literally same apartment as you for 6 months, my thoughts on rosarito's main advantages so far

pros:

food options
about 30% cheaper cost of living, similar standard of living
not hot as balls
no hustlers when you walk around outside
cheap flights in/out san diego

cabo is nicer (more development i guess), but id say rosarito is more livable. cabo's still pretty cool and especially during wcoop will be a great crew down there. there's a community here, but it's more spread out. in cabo everyone is clustered into plaza nautica and san lucas for the most part so its 20-30 guys (which can be really awesoem, or a nightmare depending on what you're looking for)

Never been inside the gated Club Marena complex, but I live about 100 yards north of it so I'll comment. It's located at K38, the premier lazy old man style surf break in Rosarita. It's on the south end of the surf point which is absolutely inaccessible to any one who doesn't live there. Being on the south end of the point is huge if you surf or want to learn. It saves about 20 minutes of paddling and 5 mins of walking round trip.

Club Marena is definitely luxury condos. Not sure of all the amenities, but there's a ton like a pool and tennis courts. I've heard that the internet is amazing there. I get 1mb/s just a little north, but I've heard Club Marena get's almost the full 10mb/s. People with money got pull in Mexico.

Since K38 has been a very well known surfbreak for a long time, there's lots of stuff right there. I'd estimate a 10 minute walk from Club Morena will get you to the mini shopping center located north of the point. The following shops are there:
1) A basic mom and pop convenient store.
2) Taco Surf: Bad ass $1 al pastor and carne asada taco stand. Very popular and very fast. Place is built for speed and volume.
3) Fish taco stand: Hands down the most amazing place in the area. Super high quality fish tacos (shrimp, fish, lobster, pulpo, crab, ceviche, and whatever else the old man finds that's fresh and awesome). $1.50-$2 a taco.
4) K38 restuarant: It's the only real sit down restaurant within walking distance. The foods just standard mexican. Nothing fancy, not great, but decent, a little hit or miss sometimes. But if u want chips and awesome salsa, drinks, and a regular restaurant environment, it fits the bill. Has a great outside bar with cable TV for watching sports.
5) Another small shack which serves breakfast that I've never been to, but my roommate loves.
6) Surf shop

I don't know if any poker players live there, but there's a ton at Calafia (like 2km north) and a few of us in between. Takes about a 10-15 minute drive to get to south Rosarita where everyone lives. A $5 cab ride or $1 on the collectivo. Basically, Club Morena is the highest end luxury condo your going to get that's not in town, but really close to it.
