How's the internet situation in apartments in PDC these days? I might be interested in coming down there for ~4 weeks at some point in May. Back when I lived there (3 years ago) basically no apartments had grindable internet by default and you always had to make a deal with a cable company (I forgot what it's called) and it'd take some time and cost some money to get stable enough internet. Since I'd only be coming for a few weeks I don't really want to go through that hassle, and I was wondering how likely I'm going to have stable enough internet if I just book an airbnb or something similar than I can get very quickly.

Also going to Playa from 7th til 30th of April. If anybody has a free room please holla at me. (Clean, dont smoke, 27yo euro, wont cause any trouble. Just going there to play and chill by the beach.)
If I cant find a place to share Ill prolly end up staying in a hotel/airbnb, also curious in which one ill have a better chance of getting a stable internet connection.

Whats up guys. Quit my job at Google 4 months ago and have been traveling all over Mexico (Air Bnb-, Tinder, Poker, Tacos -kinda lifestyle). Now moved to PDC for a month to focus on Spanish and Poker. Its been pretty sick so far, the girls are insane and Poker games are decent as well. Played last two nights in Riviera Casino (10/20 blinds; 20/50 after 2pm) and made around 8kpesos. I play primarilly live poker (logged 1k hours at $30/hr last year), but due to limited availability will now focus on online MTTs.

If any of you guys are in the area and want to get serious about online MTTs, or need some help with good clubs and ladies hit me up.

Yo, I've been thinking about going to Mexico (I have friends staying in Playa del Carmen) for about 2,5-3 months - from the end of September to ~ December 20th. It'd be cool to find a bigger flat/house with a couple of other grinders who would like to play, party and travel together. Let me know via PM!

Is there any problem with customs? Do they start interrogating you? Can I say I'm a poker player in case they do?

you won't get asked, i've come into the country about 20 times, and no issues. as long as they think it's personal use, they'll be fine. if the stuff looks new and in the original box, they might charge you customs taxes. if you get questioned, say you'll be here 3 months, and you love online games. the end.

Hey guys.. strongly considering moving to PDC when my lease is up in a few months.

If you guys could tell me if this is realistic I'd greatly appreciate it.

Rent: $600/mo in average building, maybe 10 minute bike ride to the beach, close to markets/street food where I can get a quick meal or buy local fresh fruit

Is that kind of lifestyle doable on $600/mo rent?
