I have stayed in Cabo and Rosarito and so far think this place is way better than the others, it's great.

However does anyone have any recommendations on apartment complexes that have very reliable internet? It's often been ridiculous where I'm at and ready to bolt to a different place around here if possible

I've only been to Cabo. Does anyone want to list the pros and cons between the two?

PDC appears to have much better beaches.

Is the overall hustle and bustle the same? Say I I walk around 5th Ave. in PDC, should I expect the same amount of people looking to sell me cigars and trinkets?

Anyone have a highly recommended hotel to book for a week while I check out apartments?

And is there a preferred full gym in the area?

the 2 main gyms are the gym and evolve. I think both are similarly priced and not sure which one is preferred.

evolve is 1850 pesos for 3 months + 1 time 200 pesos inscription fee. they are running a promotion now for 1 year at 5500 pesos

The gym is much more packed than evolve, I liked evolve more.

Looking for places in playa right now. Checked out those San Pedro condos today and they seemed very nice, but I am reading some bad reviews of the internet. Is there any way to get a backup connection, or an aircard? How much could you haggle on the price of the apt?

Also anyone have experience with quadra alea? Very nice condos but a bit out of the way of 5th ave.

My buddys got a 3br for 21,000pesos and the internet they got was pretty reliable compared to everyone elses, I heard it went out a few times but a couple times the whole city went out and everyone came to our place to play. Aircards are available as backup dont know the cost tho. Also be careful where your unit is located they play music on 5th street all day

I mailed my friends' realtor about quadra alea a couple of days ago and they said it was full.
I think "we" have 3 different units in that complex at the moment and it's actually a really good location. Let me know what's available if you pass on it.

you dont need a lease, at least at bancomer

you need a utility bill (doesnt have to have your name on it, just address), passport, and the fmm card (paper they ripped in half at customs)

A lease certainitely wouldn't hurt, but at least at bancomer it is not needed.

I would use either Bancomer or Santander, people prefer Santander I think they get slightly better fx rates (and they have an affiliation with BOA there are some type of benefits there)

edited to add that when I went with my friend to open an account for him during WCOOP, the lady wanted 3 references with phone numbers and addresses. I just made the info up because lol needing that, but just letting you know what you might be in for.

1. Solexico is the main language school. There are cheaper ones available when you look around here but Solexico has lots of hot young Swedish girls. You don't need to speak Spanish here if you don't want but even just a couple of weeks at a school will make you feel more comfortable here.

2. There's a soccer Skype chat. about 5 guys here play 5 a side football very often against the locals. Ask to be added once in the Playa chat.
