Yeah thats what I used to do.It was sooooooooo easy. I just lost like 10% on my cashout going from stars bank xfr to peso account

Also do you think going from USD Stars to USD MB than to Peso I would lose less? Maybe the exchange rate is better from USD to Pesos instead of Euros to Pesos?

I doubt you lost 10%, I think 4-5% is standard

I think the stars-->MB--->Peso acct is very close in terms of vig, I believe Shaniac made a post in the mexican banking thread showing the different vigs

supposing you make more than your living expenses, is there a reason to send MB $ to Mexican bank instead of an offshore bank (where you would def have no problem getting accounts in whatever currency you want)?

if you do that try a european bank acct since stars withdraws in euros...prob least expensive root..then u could use oanada or such to get it to states...just make sure u claim fbar and whatnot if your USA and >10k accounts

Hey, just curious why you can't use the same account you used in Rosarito to withdraw from Stars? You've already established 'residency' in Mexico w/ Stars, so they shouldn't care where in Mexico you are. And I imagine your ATM card would still work.

Well Rosarito and playa Del carmen are like 2 different states or something. So my Santander account is no good here at all. I even tried writing a check and cashing it at Santander here and they dont recognize it. In Rosarito when you get a USD Santander account you only get checks,no debit card. So when I'm here I have no access to my account there what so ever. I tried to wire money from my Rosarito account to here,but you have to be in person :/.

I'm American, so I cant link my MB to my US account because it has to do with gambling.

@Sinner, am I able to just open an offshore bank account in USD?If I'm not in person?
