I assume that question is for me about the leather goods..

Primarily we do cell phones cases, mainly for Dooney, and also do some luggage and womens handbags for them too.

I also do some travel up to the Hangzhou area to do some Quality Control on OEM products like HP and Dell Laptop cases, for a company I previous worked at.

As far as the issue with GZ airport? Dont really understand what you mean, but i always fly into Hong Kong since they have a direct flight from New York.

I mean is 2 hours enough for me to catch my connecting flight from Guangzhou to Sanya?

Ha, sorry for the lack of intelligence from the word you used before...

But 2 hours is DEF enough time. Its NOTHING like USA customs....

When I fly outa Guangzhou domestically, to Shanghai, Hangzhou, or wherever it may be, I usually arrive at the airport 90 minutes before, and I even sit down for 20 minutes or so and eat a meal. You'll be fine...hope you enjoy your trip man. It is suppose to FINALLY warm up around here next week too.

In Beijing now, like 0 Celsius. A dry cold though, so seems ok to me

I much prefer the winter, the air looks a lot cleaner and clearer than the last time I was here

Not hard to get from the International section to the domestic section in Guangzhou Airport (CAN)...

short walk, less the 1/4 of a mile. 10 minute max walk...

As far as temperature goes here, We ve had a wet cold down here, but nothin like 0, maybe around 9 or 10 C which is pretty cold for us....

Also, for good information on Guangzhou, check out the Thats Guangzhou Magazine, they usually are free at most of the better hotels.

Check the internet too, they should have a site.

Wow, havent been around Beijing, but what Id give to hear English rather then Cantonese....Actually Id rather here any language then Cantonese, the loudest click clackin there is....

HP - What do you do in Beijing? How long have you been there?

You know if ANY Olympic events will be held in the Guangzhou area? Id love to check out a soccer game or something. No way Im going to Beijing, heard mid range hotel rooms are up around 5,000RMB a night!

If I had a place in beijing right now, Id rent that **** out and go traveling during that time.

habit,

I was just there on vacation for a second time

There's not a whole lot of English spoken, I was more referring to most signs being in English as well as Chinese

btw they speak Mandarin there, which imo is easier on the ears than Cantonese

The Olympic equestrian events will be held in Hong Kong. Can't wait to see horses choking on air pollution

Oh, I got a 5-day package to Beijing during Olympics (incl. air ticket/4 star hotel) for HK$10k. Shouldn't be too expensive.

Hey man, I know they don't speak cantonese there, I'm dumb but not that dumb . Many of the signs are english now for the olympics. They hired a bunch of ex pats to make sure they were right. The english is horrible elsewhere in china for things. For example, I'm at a restaurant right now and got a vip card, it says very important persdons. And on the menu, I just saw "jews ears". The sound jew in chinese is the same sound for pig in mandarin. The beijing package that was said be4 sounds extremely cheap, looks like u got an awesome deal.

starworld has poker pro tables that spreads 5/10, 10,20, 20,40 games (all in HKD) 5/10 is usually the first table going and rarely will you see a 20,40 game. All games are NL and the numbers actually refer to the minimum bet on the first 2 rounds then on the last 2 rounds . . . ie the blinds for a 5/10 are actually 2.50/5 (this has to do with how the game is licensed in macau) max buy in for 5/10 is 500, 10/20 is 1000

the grand lisba has 4 converted bacarrate tables located on the 2 floor. games start at 10/20 and i've never seen a higher game started but they will get a list going.

i've also heard that pharos casino (sp?) has the poker pro tables but the game never gets going and i've never been to verify.

from my understanding the only game offered in macau right now is Texas Hold'em and i've never seen a limit game offered. i did see starworld offer an omaha list but i could not get the system to work . . . or players interested in playing.

the weather in macau is cold for macau right now but you'll be fine with a light jacket or sweatshirt. of course depending on where your from you might need more or less. check the weather forecast online before you go.

MACAO:

There is live poker only at the Grand Lisboa. There are 4 no limit tables. $HK 5/10, 10/20 and 25/50. You can smoke at the table. The rake at 25/50 is 4% max $250HK

$1USD = 7.8HK There is no tipping. the dealers suck balls and the casino chips are different from the poker chips so any time a player cashes in or out it takes 5 minutes. You get about 15 hands in an hour.

Hong Kong:

Can someone please refer me to limit games here???

The conversion is NOT in USD. All funds are HKD.

But tell me about the style of play? And was it mostly lao wais (foreigners) playing? Any sit n goes?

I live in Guangzhou 8 months outa the year, so Im pretty close to Macau. And of course I have a multiple entry visa, or else Id only be able to make a visit there one time for every visa.

Where u from HP? how old are you?

I def thought Id only live here a few months or so, and just go back and work from the USA. I had a bad view of what China was like, like alot of westerners. But its truly awesome, and I dont have any plans soon to move back home, since I already feel like I'm somewhat home. My friends think im crazy, but they've never been here so they dont have the same perspective.

Ill prob make a trip to Macau early March is your still around.
