Hi everyone,

I was thinking about moving to London for a month or two on a short let. I was wondering which suburbs are viable for a low stakes live grinder 1/2 or 2/5 in terms of cost and transport to the casinos.

Cheers

Be careful on the tube.

Anyway, London is super expensive. Not sure if anybody can live a decent life grinding out 2/5 there. Would have to play higher stakes to justify staying there.

If you want to live comfortably off of low-limit play, then it's probably best to do that in SE Asia.

Check the Cambodian thread about 5 or 6 pages back as some guy was going back to England to live as he said it was cheaper for food and rent.

I know where I would prefer ANY day of the year, *** the cold.

Yes it is very expensive. How much do good 1/2 and 2/5 regs make a month? I feel like the live scene in London makes it justifiable for its ridiculous living expenses.

If u were crushing 2/5 at 10bb/hr you will need to put in 30hrs a month just to cover rent on a 1bed flat in an avg area.

Bills and living expenses are probs another 20-30hrs.

Honestly you're better off getting a short-term let in LA...

It's doable. Shared house somewhere like Clapham (20mins to games) ~£750 a month, travel/food say £300. A reasonable 1/2 grinder should be able to pull in at least 2k a month with good volume.

But yeah there's better options elsewhere for sure.
