Thanks Don for taking the time to answer my questions. I did not understand the breakdown for water and electricity. Could you be more specific. Breakdown without rent, just water=??, elec=??...

I am looking at places in St Julians, Sliema and St paul's Bay atm. St Julians and St Paul's appartments looking slighty cheaper. You get more bang for your buck sort of speak. Location might be lacking compared to Sliema though, I wouldn't know I have never been to Malta before.

Quit looking st pauls bay. Water and eletricity is expensive. Nobody will be able to tell u how much exactly. If u play for a living u should not worry about peanuts anyways..

What's wrong with St Paul's Bay? Knowing roughly what things are going to cost me helps me to plan a budget for the year.

Its just bit away from everything you need to get a taxi or bus to get around. Theres a few grinders there i think but most live in stj or sliema. If you want cheaper options you can look at gzira and msida as well its where most CS to betsson, unibet etc live because their offices are down there somewhere.

Thanks, didn't even realise St paul's was that far up North. I will look into those other 2 towns as well. Think my best bet will be St Julians though.

1. Does Amazon or Ebay ship to Malta?
2.What is the internet connection like. I am currently on 20mb in the UK and I think that is fine for gaming and general browsing purposes.
3. Are the local girls attractive?
4. Are they easy lol?
5. What's the nightlife like?
6. How are the local people generally, i.e are they a friendly bunch or a miserable lot.
7. What are the costs for Electricity, water, internet/tv and landline?(1 or 2 bedroom place)
8. Which TV channels do we get?

Apologies if these questions have been asked.

Thanks

1. Yes.
2. Very fast, no problems.
3. Imo yes. But between April - October, you also have a lot of tourists and you almost never meet local girls.
4. Tourists are often very slutty. Maltese girls rather difficult I believe because of Catholicism.
5. It is usually busy every day in the week in Paceville. In winter it's not so good midweek but still great on weekends. Nightlife is IMO perfect in Malta and one of my main reasons to live there.
6. Very small (most guys smaller than 1,75m) but friendly. But you will not meet a lot of local guys, rather a lot of Italians. But all Maltese people who I know are cool guys and much cooler than Italians.
7. No idea.
8. Never watched local tv, I think it sucks. Does not worth watching, imo.

***Rooms available***

I'm living in a larger building with 8 individual flats in Sliema.
As the guys living in the apartment below us aren't active on 2p2 at all, they asked me to make this post for them. I've known the guys (one German cash reg and one Irish MTT/SNG reg in their early 20s) for a few months now and can safely say that they are fun to be around, outgoing and balanced all around.

The apartment is located at the seafront in Sliema, about 10 minutes away from the Point Mall and a large supermarket, cheap taxis (or even <30min walks) to St. Julians and Paceville are always available. It has four bedrooms in total, so two rooms are available right now.
The smaller one of the rooms has a single bed, the second one is slightly bigger with a double bed. Both rooms have a wardrobe, are fully furnished and share a spacious bathroom just down the corridor.
The monthly cost for the rooms will be €350 and €450 with an additional ~€100 each for utility bills, internet, cleaner etc.

As I'm basically living in the same apartment (all flats in the house are extremely similar) I can assure you that it's a great spot and a great apartment to be living in.

St Pauls is too far, have met players there before, and its a travel to everything, and if your worried about any expenses keep in mind Cab bill will diminish your winrate! Stick to St Jules, Sliema, Gzira, Msida, and San Gwann if you wanna stay close to the poker community and life.

As for E/W, id say anything from 50-80 monthly, in the summer much more because you cant help switch that aircon on. And when summer really hits youll be having a shower 3 times a day, W consumption is expensivo.

But, you dont have to worry about silly things like Council tax as you do in UK also,..thats a good 200 euro saving!

I want to recommend Andreea from http://www.malta-property-agents.com/ to anyone looking for a property in Malta, she has been very friendly and professional and got me a good deal with the landlord, thanks again .

Someone know the nearest place from pender to play squash or tennis? Anyone up to play?

Interested in a room from March or April until WSOP time at end of May. I want to join an established poker house so I don't have to worry about getting everything set up for such a short time. If any of you have something that will be opening up, please let me know.

Not a deal breaker, but being close to a live game would be a huge plus for me.

The Meridien has squash. I'm pretty much a beginner, but I would be down to play. I've played a lot of tennis and racquetball, so I imagine I will pick it up fairly quickly.

I saw that post, but it just cuts off in mid sentence. It looks like you had more to say, mind finishing the thought?

Also, when is it available?

Can't follow you here, thought I included everything important in my post.

Anytime. Right now it's just the two guys living there and they're left sharing the rent for a 4 bedroom place, so obviously they'd be happy finding new roommates as soon as possible.

I found the problem. I was viewing this in the iOS app and it cut off half the post due to the hidden pictures. I was able to view the rest of the post by opening it outside of the application.

I'm very interested in making this work, as I further cement my plans I will likely be in touch. Thanks.
