Good day all. I'm a 20nl grinder on ipoker. I'm looking to move to Cambodia to start a poker house in rougly May. I'm just trying to poke out there and see if there is any interest. prices are amazing over there.

might be in for one month to at least hold a room and help expenses while you search for more roomies. lemme know, in bkk now and planning on going to cambo during SCOOP

There's a similar thread on page 2 of this forum. Anyway, we plan to go to Snooky with a fellow cashgame player from Poland this November and settle there for a while, I copy paste what I posted on the "Looking for a Poker House" thread (that you should check btw) in case anyone is interested on going there later:

It's in Victory Hill, which is a cheap part of town (but also very near Queenco Casino). Apart from that I don't know. Just saw it on the FB group today.

It is possible that the quoted figure is the "per room" price, I guess. But the way the ad is written makes it seem like it's the total price.

All of Cambodia is sketchy. Victory Hill is just a fair way from most of the bars and clubs (just a few bars with a few ugly hookers in the area). But it's not too far to get to the main part of town, 10 minutes and about $2 on a moto or whatever.

I've seen plenty of apartments advertised in SHV for $70-$100 per month. This one does seem a bit too good to be true though.

Hi I'm 28y old South African looking to move to Asia for the live and online poker scene.
Cambodia was one of first choices but thought the poker scene was bigger in Phnom Penh?
Playing mostly live poker in Johannesburg South Africa but wanna expand my game to playing online.

Have guys found any good accommodation yet looking to move there early next year probably in Jan. Let me know if you guys s are still looking for a room mate?
Or if not will be nice to know some player when I move there.
