Good meeting you PT, and thanks for the hospitality! I'll be back!
It has been a crazy night. One guy who won a lot from the $5-$5 game earlier has basically dumped it all back in the $1-$1 Omaha game. He has to be on something like his 12th buy-in; I think this is his last bullet though. Still a full game with a list.

It was great having you man; I always love talking to new players, especially those in the country for the first time. Let me know how the apartment search goes tomorrow. If not well then perhaps I can turn you on to the realtors I told you about earlier.

At the end (?) of another double shift. I love my job but these are grueling as it's now past 2:00 AM and I've been here since 11:00 AM. I mentioned previously in an earlier post that the room had hired another floor man. He doesn't start until the beginning August so we'll have a few more of these shifts, but his arrival will be a welcomed sight. The new hire is actually a good friend of mine from Sihanoukville. He has experience running a room down there and is basically one of the funniest guys I know. He'll be great for the morale of the room and since he's a social butterfly there shouldn't be a single watering hole in this town that isn't littered with our business cards. That reminds me, I really need to make personal cards that have our personal names on them.

Cambodian tuk tuks are the most luxurious in SEA. I hope they never change to those Indian things posted

Am I the only one watching the WSOP tonight yelling at the TV for them to play the game like they did when they got there? Just had to vent a bit.

I have seen some nice photos of nice Tuk Tuks to and the Jeepney in the Philippines are sic, they have so much pride in their Jeepney. But you are right 5 south, some are beautiful and luxurious' The one I put in the post looks so commercial like a McDonalds burger

Hit up a really nice spot the other night called Raqia Republic on street 102. It was opened by a guy in Dubai who apparently owns a string of nightclubs around the world. The place is definitely upscale with great service and atmosphere. It's not quite a club, not quite a restaurant and not quite a bar but rather all those rolled into one. The drinks are a bit more expensive but insanely well made. It's one of those places where you can have dinner upstairs then come downstairs to have drinks and enjoy the music. The girlie bars are great, but they can get a bit one dimensional after a while. The options for evening entertainment in this city is really opening up.

Alongside our $1-$1 Omaha game, the $5-$5 game has been running the past few days and last night's game has run all night and is still going. The smaller game still remains popular as one Korean player had to be taught how to play literally five minutes before he sat down and ended up playing 20 hours. Another returning player on his first night back cashed out about $3K. He jokingly said today that he's done the "math" and figures that he can make $700K a year if every session is the same. I try not to comment on who can play what for a "living" in our room or anywhere else, but I am still dumbfounded as to how popular this game has become. Today is Sunday so how the day unfolds should be interesting. The $5-$5 game is still running, the $1-$3 just started and the $1-$1 and Sunday tourney are still yet to come. And this is all before the evening floor relieves me.

One of the stacks from the $5-$5 game:

How does one go about getting a seat in the games? (All of them) Is there a WhatsApp group where you reserve a seat or is it first come, first serve or is it whoever the biggest regs are that get preference?

It's basically first come first serve. We do have a Facebook group chat and we don't generally hold seats.

He lives! Yazzx sighting at Raqia Republic the other night. Hung out with the legend the other night, along with his Mrs and some other friends. Got drunk then ended the night with some porridge and deep fried frogs. Never got to say that sentence in the States.

One weird aspect of living in Cambodia is that no one will accept any bill that has even the slightest tear in it. So WarMage actually texted me the other day and told me that he didn't know what to do with a torn $100 note. So here's a tip for everyone. Stick it in a slot machine at Naga and immediately redeem it for a ticket, which you can cash at the cashier. And there you go; worked for WarMage.

Three hold'em games in the middle of low season, and it's not even 4:00 PM yet. I have a grin from ear to ear and admittedly a slight erection.

Thanks PT and War good Info as I was given a $20 by customs on first visit and it really seemed unusual as it was scrunched up and I looked at the Lady and said ya kidding.

Went to Hotel and a bit early for checkin so went across road for a massage and handed her the $20 she just said sorry as it had a 10mm rip in it. When I went over to BK I saw her again and complained but she just grinned and said No it wasnt me.

I got chased down the road in Benglaru by a stall holder saying my money was counterfeit, let her choose the notes then went straight to the Bank I got them from and they laughed and said they were all ok, but still offered to exchange them for me which I did.

Probably against BGP or better known as God to allow it but would be nice if you could keep the War updates going and when the Cambodian Heads Up Championships are taking place. Should be good.

PT do you know why they dont accept the torn notes please.

Did the whole VIP theater thing at Aeon a couple of times recently. I admit that I love the whole experience and don't think I can ever see another movie in a regular theater again. I swear to god though they keep running out of cake in the VIP lounge. The experience just isn't complete without it as popcorn and/or nuts don't quite live up to the VIP hype. I saw the latest Planet of the Apes movie and also Dunkirk. The former was only OK, but it was interesting to see Nolan direct a war epic. We ate some shabu shabu, or suki soup, before the movie. I like it and all, but it can get pricey for what's basically vegetables and fish balls in a soup. I almost took the 19 year old that I previously mentioned in another post, but ended up taking someone at least a bit more age appropriate. Seriously, taking that first girl would have made me look like a total perv.
