I spent a week up in Poipet for work, I don't recommend anyone go there for poker, let alone a visit at all. There is a huge class difference between the locals and visiting rich gambling Thai's, and it felt like everyone was having a Mexican stand-off with each other at all times.

My Thai driver, refused to stay there for a week (Was being paid), and actually drove back to Bangkok (Unpaid), as he didn't feel safe there. I'm not a huge guy for reading through the lines, but if hes willing to go home and not be paid to basically sit around, there is something wrong there for sure.

So when one of the local bongs was drunk and acting a bit inappropriately on the table, one of the other managers came up to me and suggested that we cut him off. He tried to order one more drink and when that attempt fell unsuccessful, he tried to order a beer. The staff held firm and wouldn't give him that either and to his credit the bong accepted the decision.
I told you many times, one of the waitresses makes too strong vodka drinks
On the other hand without vodka i probably would not have go all in preflop with double suited snake against two bongs, so thank her.
Rehab holiday now, see you October.

And this is the type of stuff that makes you an insufferable prick. I kinda felt bad for you when people starting piling it on. But you really do bring it on yourself. You're living like a bum in a third world dorm tossing out comments about what other people make. Do you realize how pathetic you come off?

It's not that I want to be a dick, there's so much negativity and sarcasm in your post that I can smell it from a mile away.

Take a good look at yourself before criticizing me. Labeling me a "bum"; "insufferable prick"; "pathetic", imposing value judgments ("I kinda felt bad for you"). To be honest, I don't think you are any better than me.

Let him that is without sin cast the first stone.

An interesting hand went down at the 1-3 NLHE games at RK where a reg took down a $750+ pot against a local bong.

Didn't really pay much attention to the action but on a J high board, the bong bet $115 on the river and the reg check-raised jam to $250+ for the rest of his stack. The bong turned over his KK and started to mumble to himself "Check call the flop; check the turn; check raise the river, you either have a set of 44s or a set of JJs." Then he looked at his stack (around $200), sighed and slided in calling chips. The reg nodded and turned over his JJ holdings for a flopped top set.

"Very well played" I told him. He didn't just play his hand, he played the man. The bong made a mistake when he bet half his stack and not have a plan facing a check raise from his opponent.

The betting for value line is fine but I would fold to a check raise. My opponent is communicating that he has at least two pair. Checking for a cheap showdown is fine too. My opponent is only going to call with KJ+ on such a dry board. Personally, I would have opted for a cheap showdown since the reg is a crafty/shrewd player.

A lot of things can be said about me but being a bum, insufferable or pathetic definitely don't apply. You've got a habit of starting ***** and then crying the second it gets turned around on you. Seriously you need to grow up.

WM back in the thread is kick@$$

you should really think about riding your hot streak to Poipet and trying your luck in the main. Ya Poipet pretty much sucks but you can get away from the familiar faces in PP for a little while and they have pretty good hotel rooms for $12 a night.
It's going to be a low turnout I bet but that should only increase your equity.

KK hand is a standard fold for decent players but us whales hate to fold our overpairs

Also, what's up with the word "bong". I know everyone says it but it sounds a bit derogatory. What's the deal?

It's how you adress people who are older than you, if they are younger or same age than you you say Oun to them.. And if you're unsure about the age difference it's better to say bong than Oun.. So calling someone bong is more the opposite from derogatory

Wouldn't mind pounding a few bongs with some cool bongs in the River King, speaking of which is it cool to spark up in there?

In certain situations even when your are aware that they are younger and they know you are older, you should still refer to them as bong given their position in life. There is a player at the Riverking who I knew was younger but I still called him bong because of his position. After a few weeks he did the coolest thing by telling me that while he accepts my initial show of respect, I no longer needed to call him bong. This is the same guy by the way who rolled his car window down and asked the girl her number while snapping pics of her. Baller!

Yeah, there are also some other words which they use for different age and position but I think most of the locals are "happy" if a barang knows the difference between bong and Oun

Once I decided on something, it's extremely unlikely that I'll change my mind unless something really weird happens. Something like a random stranger coming up to me and offers me $5,000 to go play. Then I may reverse my decision. Otherwise, it's a 100% no at this point.

I got into a fight with a moto-bike driver a few days ago.

How did it happen? I just finished a losing session at Naga and was planning to take a moto-bike to head back to my hostel. "$1!" I shouted out at the consortium of tuk-tuks/moto-bike drivers camping outside Naga. One of the moto-bike drivers came up to me, nodded his head and signaled for me to hop on.

Half way through, the moto-bike driver said unhappily "So far, $1 no enough", slowed down and stopped at a street intersection. WTF! I told him "You say $1, now you want more. No way!" If I was in a very generous mood that night, I would have said "Ok. no problem, I pay you more.". It just so happened I was in a "Don't f*** with me" mood that night. Which could have gotten me killed.

I walked away, planning to get alternative transport. "No money?" he asked in an aggressive tone, following me. I proceeded to take a dollar out of my pocket, crunched it and toss it on the ground beside him. "You want money, go and pick it up yourself!" I said angrily. That's when he threw the first punch towards me. We then exchanged blows like amateur fighters. Two bongs saw and intervened, pulling us back. Luckily, they did not join in, I would have been screwed real bad that night.

I decided to hop on to one of the bong's tuk-tuk. As he drove away, I did another really silly thing. I flashed my wad of Benjamins, flipped the bird at the moto-bike driver and dropped lots of f* bombs. If anything, this is the perfect setup for getting robbed/killed in a third-world developing country. Thank God I am still alive to write this story here.

I know I am providing the trolls with more fodder to attack me with this post. But this is who I am. Keeping it real, guys.

I just hate people who make agreements with me and then welch on the deal. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, I would hold others to the end of their deal. Just as I would honor my end of the deal.

Had the moto-bike driver drove me to my destination, then asked me nicely for more money, I would have been more than willing to do so. Even if I am in a foul mood.

Yeah, it's only $1. But to me, it's never about the $1 to begin with.

Grow up. You are going to get yourself killed or severely beaten otherwise. Personally I don't think you are cut out for SEA.

Your response is totally within my expectations. Just like how I would call a player's hand out on showdown before they even flip their cards over.

Full of criticisms and negativity. Lack of self-awareness and empathy for others. Only know how to strike others down without reflecting upon your own flaws/weaknesses.

To be honest, I feel kinda sad for you.

And your opinion about me not being cut out for SEA lacks context/substance. Why?

I have been traveling to Cambodia over a period of two years. (I highly doubt you have read my previous posts since your focus is only on trolling/attacking me.) And this is the first time I have an altercation with a tuk-tuk driver.

Not only do you lack empathy, I think you should work on your cognitive skills before commenting any further on my posts.

I've got a little bit of experience in SEA, more Thailand than Cambo but you kid, are not gonna make it. But enjoy your $3 dorm and $1 tuk-tuk rides, sounds like one heck of a life!
