I tank more than most so I definitely appreciate you thinking everything out. But sometimes you just have to, in the words of Yazzx, "Get it in there!". One more thing. You didn't tilt off $175, rather you just lost it because that's what happens in table games. Walk around, go eat or just go home. But never sit down at a table game because that's just inviting bad habits. That's all; I'll see you tomorrow. Text me when you want me to put in your order for a steak and iced lemon tea.

I think we have both come to a common understanding that when I tank, I tank for legit reasons. And there are times I need to speed up in hands. The latter is a valid point and is something I need to work on. I simply dislike rushing my decisions in big pots/tough spots.

Table games are fun. But playing it to chase back my poker losses was a stupid decision. I tilted off because I was chasing losses at that point and not doing it for entertainment purposes. Most successful professional poker players avoid table games altogether. Maybe this is something I should seriously consider.

Ice lemon tea and steak. Yup, that's the nuts.

Honestly you're not sittting deep enough to warrant long tanks to come to the right decision. Most decisions with 50 - 100 BBs are pretty straight forward and trivial. Of course stopping to think for a moment is completely legitimate but you should never need to tank for anywhere near enough time to have the clock called on you, not when you're sitting on a ≤100 BB stack.

Was playing well initially at Naga, running my stack up to $250+ from $200.
Gotta say I laughed at this.

To be honest in that hand, it sounded like your decision was actually made, you were just stalling actually implementing it.

No pictures I'm afraid. All I can say is that I took an older gal for the first time in a while. The girls I've taken lately are so accommodating and willing to do certain things. We have the big tourney coming up tomorrow in Riverking so it's been a stressful week. I can hardly think of a better way to blow off some steam.

The holdem game got a bit short late last night. So the remaining players, including the owner of the room, decided to bump it up slightly to $2-$5. The owner of the room ended up dragging in a huge pot when he got quads vs a full house. Of course he had me take a bunch of pictures for our Facebook page. I hope the player who lost the hand isn't too offended. When I play in our game I'm somewhat reserved in an attempt to not offend anyone, especially if I'm winning. But the owner will drag a huge pot, have the manager take a bunch of pictures then make fun of the player as he leaves. I admit it rubs some the wrong way, but it's pretty fuc*ing hilarious. Wherever he starts in on a new player at the table I always just say, "So, have you met our owner?"

I called the clock on you because your tanks are utterly ridiculous and for very small amounts of money. I know you think some of these spots against the regfish raising $100 at Naga are some multi-layered, complex decisions, but I can assure you they are not.

This spot with a full house, less than 100bb stack, and a multiway pot with a huge fish involved is the easiest all in ever with your hand. If you fold a boat in that spot you deserve a swift kick to the nuts. It's a cooler. It happens.

Still strongly in favor of a button under the table at each seat that calls clock.

Sometimes it really is a pain. When I'm waiting on a player to act, I do the math in my head that he should be doing, then run thru the hand in my head again, count to 100. if they haven't acted yet, I get irritated, lol

not a good idea imo, some players would abuse that and call clock every time on a player they don't like,it's better when you need to call the clock in "public"

Dude, it's easy to talk and give comments when it's not your own money on the line.

Reminder to self: Never play poker when I am emotional

During my first session at RK, I was checking out a post on Facebook which got me really upset. I realised I was starting to tilt, making bad plays and getting pushed around a bit. In my busto hand, TAG local player raised $19. I looked down at KQ. Most of the times, I would fold this hand against him. But I called. That's still OK. Flop bricked. It was 8 6 6. I check raised jam into his $40 bet. Fancy play syndrome. He snapped off with JJ. Turn and river was a brick. He scooped a $300+ pot. FML.

I knew I should have folded and took a break, maybe go upstairs for a 1 hour massage. But my emotions got the better of m then. Sigh. I did the next best thing, I left in embarrassment. I noted to myself not to check my phone during my sessions, leave it in my bag instead. Focus on the game. I find it hard to forgive myself for tilting off like that. While I am a passionate person, I rarely get emotional.

Decided to head out for a haircut. I have been in Phnom Penh for almost a month. It's about time.

Paid $20. It's expensive but the hairstylist was really meticulous, giving good advice on how my hair should be cut, waxing my hair etc. It's money well spent if you ask me.

Went back to my hostel and took a short break. I have sufficiently calmed down by then and asked Mike to put me on the list for a hold em' game.

Logged a short second session at RK. Limp jammed with my QQ into villian's 3 bet. He said he had a lower pocket pair. I am thinking JJ/10 10. Scooped a $300+ pot. :-)

Nice to reverse the losing streak of two sessions. Decided to head over to Naga as the game was getting short handed. I am more of a full ring guy.

Logged a profitable 2 hour session. Major hands include:
(i) 3 bet a Chinese fish who then jammed into me with AJ. I snapped off with KK. Rivered the nut flush. Scooped a $200+ pot. The Chinese fish later bought in for another $300 and lost it in his very first hand. Geez. This is why you NEVER ever ever play when you are tilted/emotional.
(ii) Doubled a Russian lady when I 3-bet jammed her with AJ. It's a mistake since she was super tight. She only opens with super strong hands. While I flopped a pair of Aces, I can't beat her AK. It's only a $100 pot but poker is all about momentum. Hate to double players without good reason.

Session ended with another $100+ profit, essentially reversing my losses for the day. Happy. :-)

Next time go to the place right next to the poker room. Get the skinny lesbian in glasses to cut your hair. She's quite good and only $2.

WarMage, I enjoy your postings quite a lot. But still haven't figured out if you plan to stay PP long term or you just on vacation?
