And I reiterate once again, if you thought my previous (serious,) posts were trying to defend not tipping then you didn't understand what I was saying. But whatever, not a big deal, anyway that discussion has been moved over to the other thread now so no need to dredge it back up here. I've said my fill on it anyway, I have nothing more to add on the subject. Apparently what I said was mostly misunderstood, but I'm not sure how to say it much clearer so...It is what it is.

I went bar hopping with a couple of friends last night. We started out on the Riverside at 136, moved it onto 104 then ended up at Soriya. We had an interesting experience at 136 in a bar called Tiger Bar. One of my friends fancied one of the girls so he tried to take her home. She was agreeable but the bar wanted a bar fine of $25, saying that it was a "special" Khmer New Year's rate. I've lived here for three years and I've never heard of such a thing. But then again, it doesn't surprise me how some here take every possible opportunity to take advantage. We basically screamed at the mamasan until she lowered it back down to $10. But it wouldn't shock me if I see my friend in the poker room today and he tells me that his girl tried pulling something in the room and try to upsell him to recoup the money lost for their "special" bar fine. There are plenty of places to get girls here in Phnom Penh, plenty of good places. So no matter, just one more place to cross off the list and never go to again. The list at this point is basically just Candy Bar and now Tiger Bar, both on street 136.

So I ended up at Soriya with the remaining friend and I had hung out there a lot previously but never taken a girl there. I won't lie in saying that this place has a reputation as the girls are all freelancers and are known to be meth addicts. But they are also cheaper and one of the poker players at Riverking used to always jokingly say that the meth addicts are the ones you have to get because they'll "love your co*k!" The scene there is different from the bars in that you literally just grab a girl and tell them let's go. My friend had already grabbed a girl and was antsy to leave so I just grabbed her friend and off we went. I didn't really want to bring her to my place so I just took her to a short time hotel. She was young, cute and had a decent body so I didn't mind anything on that end. And I'll say that my friend wasn't lying as I have some peculiar requests and while she wasn't necessarily enthusiastic about everything, she was certainly game and did everything I told her to do. For $20 and no bar fine I couldn't really complain. An interesting night to say the least. It's always nice to have options.

Do you guys pick up girls at the casino night club sometimes ? It's the only place I have seen real hotties, but regs there told me that they won't go with young good looking barang (scared of anacondas and stuff) and if they do, it's for no less than $150 short time.
