It's Khmer New Year so (almost) everything is closed today. Mike, the poker room manager, (aka Poker_triad) bought KFC chicken and Dominos Pizza for the room as the kitchen is closed. Thanks Mike!
Clocked a short 2-hour session and was up $271. Most of my profits came from the same guy where I flopped a set against his TPTK and then felted him when my AQss got (very) lucky against his AK on a Q high board.
Decided to hang around Wat Phnom (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wat_Phnom) after the session. Most Khmers come here to celebrate their New Year dancing, playing traditional Khmer games and of course, praying to God. It's a pity there's no poker God I can pay homage to. ;-) Some (boring) photos to share with the rest of the community here. :-)
Really happy to start the (Khmer) New Year with a profit. I was down $2,500 USD at my lowest point. Almost flew back home early in sadness and disappointment. Thank God I stayed on, put in the hours and grinded my losses into a respectable win. :P
10 more days left in the bustling city of PP. :-)
