Another epic night out with the boys. I was just going to go home tonight, but a good mate of mine convinced me to go out. We hit up the usual spots tonight in 104 and 136. We finished the night eating at Ostro, a great spot for food open all night on 136. We invited one of the waitresses to sit with us which she did. I've been looking for a casual "friend" to invite out when I go out with friends who bring their girlfriends. She was real friendly but you just never know as some girls are really cool and others will text you every 20 minutes asking why you don't take them out. We left one friend at Candy Bar with $10 so hopefully he'll be ok for the rest of the morning.

I needed to do something to balance out the degeneracy so today I helped a friend of mine pass out gifts to poor families in front of one of the local hospitals. My friend is truly a good guy as he's dressed up as Santa Claus for the last 14 years to pass out gifts to sick kids in Thailand. He's brought his act to Phnom Penh and I was really glad to help him today.

Poker wise it was a decent day. I cashed out +$164 but considering that I played $1-$2 most of the day, I'm not too disappointed. It was a busy day at the Riverking as three games ran for a good part of the day/night. As we're entering high season more and more, I'm looking forward to some good games and live fish.

Must have missed you triad. Pretty sure I hit all those spots(save RK) last night. Got a room right next to Candy bar so I make that the last stop.

Than you probably at least saw my friend as he texted me at 7:30 AM that he fell asleep in the booth at Candy with some girl.

We had another great night out after the Riverking game as some of the players and I went out and hit the girlie bars on the Riverside. One would think this sort of thing can get old but it really doesn't. We hit up some new spots this time, played with some new girls and got pissed drunk as usual. We took a break and got a bite to eat where I tried to pick up on one of the waitresses. For a moment there I suppose I thought I should meet some non-whorring girls so why not. I got her number and and Facebook but I don't think it's going anywhere. It was another fun night but I made one crucial mistake. I waited much too long to find a girl to take home. We ended up at the Island Bar on 118 around 4:00 AM and I did find a real cute girl there. But she wouldn't go home with me as she told me she was on her period. Usually they're telling you the truth with this sort of thing. But you never know as some girls don't go home on a customer's first visit to a bar and I haven't been to Island in ages so I'm basically new to her. But she was friendly and cute enough so I may go back for her in the future. So a couple of us went to Candy Bar around 5:00 AM but the place was all busted up by then. So I shamefully stumbled through my apartment door around 6:30 AM and went to sleep. But tonight it's New Years Eve so I'm sure we'll go out again for sure. First it's the sushi party at the Riverking at 8:00 PM, then the bar owned by 2+2 member Renton555 for his party around 10:00 PM then just general whorring after that. #roughlife

I've created a Facebook group chat for those of us who play at Riverking and go out afterwards. I send out updates on when we go out, where and such. If anyone local or coming in wants to be added, shoot me your info on PM and I'll add you.

I meant to make a post regarding a significant development in my life a couple of days ago, but with New Year's festivities and all I ended up having to delay a bit. Late last week Riverking officially hired me as their "Marketing Director." I do not mean to use such a high sounding title for myself, but I really don't know what to call it and I wasn't given one. The job basically entails maintaining their social media pages and coming up with overarching concepts on how to promote the room and attract new players. For example, this Wednesday I will be going to the WPT in Sihanoukville to promote the room among the players participating in the various events.

I decided to disclose this as I admit I can see the merits in calling me a shill when making future posts on this forum about the Riverking. That having been said, I would like to stress that this is a recent development and that I like to think that everything I have posted up to this point has been truthful and above board. As I'm sure most of you have noticed I don't really talk about poker in my posts anyway. Not that I am criticizing those that do, but I do not like to focus on results and discussions regarding strategy. Instead I tend to focus on the more fun and hedonistic elements of life here in Cambodia and that is what I hope to continue doing. This isn't to say that I won't be occasionally posting about special events coming up at the Riverking or promotions. But I will do my best to not do so in any type of spammy way. My apologies ahead of time to BGP if I ever do cross the line and as it is your right as the admin, please delete any such posts.

If nothing else, this does give me more insight on how poker rooms are run here in Cambodia and my new position may give me the opportunity to address questions that are more in that area. I obviously cannot disclose everything so please do not ask me questions like, "How much money does the room make?" But I will try to answer any question to the best of my ability.

We started out New Years Eve at the Riverking where the room's operator brought in a ridiculous amount of sushi for all the players. The game broke a bit early so we can all go out to celebrate. We ended up at Renton555's bar on the Riverside where there was a huge party. It was also his girlfriend's birthday and so a lot of people came out including a huge contingency of poker players. I saw some guys that I haven't seen in a while so it was really great to hang with some old friends.

The night wasn't all smooth as I ended up throwing my back out during the party. A girl from the bar was nice enough to come over and give me a massage so I bought her a few drinks. It turned out that she's just my type, really skinny and petite, so I thought that I would take her home. But she seemed really shy and wasn't really responding to my usual array of Mac Daddy moves. Of course I realize that I don't have to try so hard, but I don't really like to force the issue and if a girl is not responding to me well in the bar it is usually a preview of how fun the night will be later.

I honestly don't remember much about the rest of the night, but I do know that I didn't take a girl home. My back injury wasn't really conducive to this sort of activity anyway and I was pretty pisses drunk. But it does seem that I've had some bad luck in this area. That all changed the next night but I had to wait until the very end for that to be so. We had done our usual round of whorring when I suddenly realized that it was 4:00 AM. FML I had waited too long again and now nearly every bar was closed. So we ended up at Candy Bar but it was much too late for any attractive girl to be there. I wanted to leave and kept asking for the bill. But it's a common tactic for these bars to delay in bringing it in the hopes that you'll order more drinks. I basically started to scream profanities at them as I was not in a good mood.

We finally exited Candy Bar and found one bar still open on 136. I found one reasonably decent girl so I told her to sit down and ordered a drink for her. But when I tried to take her she said she does not go (WTF?!??). So I started to the manager and asked her who the fu*k goes home. She brought out this girl that I somehow did not notice when I entered the bar, a very pretty 21 year old that I was more than happy with especially considering the hour. She ended up staying the night and we had two goes at it once before sleeping and another after we woke up. I ended up tipping her $50 which was a very good price all things considered. I didn't have enough time to take her to a proper place to eat so we went to the Riverking for a couple of free breakfasts. But I noticed in the light of day that she looked younger than 21. I started to worry a bit, but coincidentally she had her passport on her. She asked me what I thought of her picture so I checked her birthdate. It turns out that she was lying about her age but only by two years. Banging a 19 year old wasn't what I had on the agenda but I wasn't exactly complaining about it either. She was pretty good, but the best sex of my life works up on Victory Hill in Sihanoukville so I'm really looking forward to heading back on official business during the WPT.

I get vodka dick, but whatever same thing. Kamagra is the nuts, especially considering that it's only $2, but it's not a miracle drug. I drank a lot the night I got the 19 year old and I got two shots at her, one before we slept and once more when we woke up. It worked much better on the second go as I was sobered up by then. I'm starting to prefer long time for this reason as I get so drunk that I prefer to just go to sleep when we get to my place and then have a run at her in the morning. Then again running it twice is ideal of course. I'm glad you asked this question because my entire answer has been a subtle brag that we fu*ked twice.

There were 45 entries in the first-ever WPT-N Cambodia event. Congratulations to the Canadian 2+2er who travelled over 13,000 km to win the championship trophy!

Unlike at EPT Prague, there was no buying of the championship, as he eliminated almost everybody in the final table, including a pro heads-up, who has over $600,000 in HendonMob winnings and 92 cashes. I have photos on Facebook but don't know how to post them on 2+2.

I've dropped $1,001 in the last two days so I wasn't thrilled about that. I got a bit of it back today as I win about $300. I took the night off last night in regards to going out so I was looking forward to going out tonight. So I was glad that the Korean whale who owns a night club in town invited me and a group of us to eat and drink in his club's lounge. The place is the Marquee and I've mentioned them before, but I can't stress enough how much this place is the nuts. We've gone there on our own dime before but it's obviously more enjoyable when someone else picks up the tab. Honestly I was ready to help with the bill but as it is his own place the bill never even came out. We simply walked out when we were done and it was assumed that the owner covered it.

We then headed out to the Riverside where we made our usual rounds on 104 and 136. There are two bars that I'm going to cross off my personal list as I've grown fairly tired of bars that are drink factories, filled with girls that never go home with their customers. The Rose Bar is the first such spot as the girls there are all basically teases that constantly ask for drinks, but when it comes time to bar fine them and go home suddenly they tell you that they don't do such a thing. This is why I now ask at the beginning whether or not they go home because I don't want to be told that they don't after I've already bought them drinks. The Rose Bar and their staff are pros at this so I really don't want to waste my time there anymore.

The second place is the Candy Bar as I once liked them but I've had too many bad experiences in recent visits. Tonight I bought a drink for a girl but when some other customers came in she immediately left our table to go sit with them. I immediately asked for the bill as I wasn't about to buy drinks for some girl just so she can spend her time with someone else. We hit a few other bars before calling it a night.

I am heading out to Sihanoukville tomorrow to do some promotional work for the Riverking. I don't think I'll play in any events but I hope to make aware the players in this region of the Riverking and the general poker scene in Phnom Penh. And I have a couple of regular girls down there that I've always had fun with. Seeing as how prices are lower there for this sort of thing, I'm looking forward to the trip and hooking up with some ladies that I've had fun with in the past.

A significant part of why we went out tonight was that one of the new players at the Riverking was going back home tomorrow. I'm glad we got a chance to hang out one last time. I hang out with some proper friends from the Riverking as the whale picked up the entire tab at his bar, another friend picked up the tab at Candy when he saw that I was visibly upset, and the guy going back home picked up the final bill in the last bar.

Now seven of us are packing ourselves into two SUV's tomorrow and heading down to the WPT. We expect the numbers to be better than the event at Poipet so hopefully it will give me a chance to meet a lot of new players. It should be an interesting trip. I have much work to do, but I look forward to getting together with some old friends and having some fun mixed in with the business at hand.

Do any of the poker casinos have comps? Will you be introducing any?
How does it all work?
Any bonus for playing x amount of hours.
Any free rooms, food or drinks?

How many tables are usually running?
Are there enough fish?
What's the reg to fish ratio, roughly.
Have you been there in low and high season, is there a big difference?

Can I find a decent apartment 30-40 m2 with kitchen in PP for under $300, in decent location, furnished and looks decent? If not how much then?

Cheers.

Hi everyone, I'll be visiting Phnom Penh in a few weeks, looks like a good time!

Also does anyone have any idea how much it costs for Americans to get a Vietnam visa in PP nowadays? I just wanted a 30 day. I've heard they jacked the prices for US citizens in the last few months :/

1. Comps - all food items and drinks are free for all players.

2. Hours bonus - we do not currently have a time based bonus

3. Free rooms - there is a poker player rate of $18 per night. Also for special events we offer free hotel stays. For example we have a $7,500 GTD on January 15th. We're offering all new players a free room each day as long as they play at least 3 hours of cash during everyday they receive a free room.

4. How many tables - 2-3 games everyday

5. Fish - plenty of them, namely the rich locals. They don't care about money and they usually play like it.

6. Ratio - somewhere around 3.5 to 6.5 off the top of my head.

7. The seasons - a third table would be difficult to achieve during low season and games may sometimes break a bit earlier than high season. But the locals pretty much play year round.

8. Apartments - Yazzx got his place for $300 and it's quite nice. I've seen similar for $250. If you come in I can hook you up with a realtor that found my place.

Hope that answers your questions.
