Where you coming from? You can rent a 4 person private taxi ride from PP to Sihanoukville for about 40 per seat.

Anyone know if how much I can get a USB dongle internet in Thailand for? Where would I get it?

How is this at best manageable?
Make sure they don't look new, or you will have to pay a hefty import tax when you bring them into the country. I spend an hour arguing when I brought in a 20" monitor five years ago.

Back then they didn't have any flat panels larger than 15". Now you can buy 24" very cheap, so maybe just settle with a couple of new ones.

somwhere in the region of 1500-2k baht for the AIS dongle, I think 711s have them, or otherwise any phone shop. +money for the data plan up to 1k/month for unlimited, depends if it is going to be your main connection or not.

mj im just gonna be in pattaya for a month so dont wanna buy a dongle, what other backup internet options will i have?

billyg - naw i wouldnt say im getting bored yet, certainly no more boring then not drinking while not banging sluts thats for sure, im still totally in "OMG i can sleep with almost any girl i see in this bar" mode not sure how long it will be till that wears off (hopefully never)

that said the girls here are not adventurous in the bedroom at all, not that i want any kinky **** but many either say no to blow jobs or want to stop after like 3 minutes, you have to convince them to try new positions, i believe the word on the sexpat forums for them would be starfish and that fits at least half of them

if they are hot i dont mind, flaky girl is one of the worst offenders but its fine cuz im just happy to look at her

i guess you are supposed to negotiate things ahead of time but i really dont like standing around in a bar asking "you give blowjob?" "swallow?" "can we do something other than missionary?"

one day i may get bored of it and while in bed with a girl start to think "hmmm i wonder if she would let me pee on her" and thats when i know its time to fly to manila find the 3 hottest girls at the nicest bars in makati have a week long foursome blowing all my money and then kill myself

Smartphone+thai sim works as a dongle, otherwise maybe just try and get somewhere with a good connection, and then attempt to get into some neighbouring wifis if there is restaurants/whatever closeby as a backup? Otherwise I have no idea.

I found so many providers for Cambodgia ;online.com.kh and ezecom seems ok?
Also Metfone 3G seems ok ? but also sometimes very slow.
Just want to be sure to can grind with solid connection if i moove to PP

Any tips for a good serviced apartment in PP around 400$/month with good location ?

I'm going to Phnom Penh tomorrow for 3 or 4 days. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a hotel near the river and bars for $20-$30 a night? Cheers

I've heard metfone is the best with the 3G dongle, going to get one tomorrow. I got the opennet service which is pretty good for torrenting to my apartment. There's quite a few apartments available, I'd check out bongthom.com I'm at 184 & 63 area, which I quite like, not a serviced apartment but it's pretty good western style 1 bedroom with 2 a/c and $300 a month. The Mondulkibiri Boutique Hotel (note the boutique, as there's another one a block away) is quite nice if you want to look for a bit, and quite cheap on agoda and has good internet. It's only about $23 a night and has nice western style rooms. Trasak Pa-Em has nicer balconies and breakfast though. The area's good to get to the market, sorya mall, bkk1 and riverside (20 minute walk or less or $2 on a tuk-tuk)

I've always stayed at the Paragon, cheap, clean, great location. Right on the river, 20m from the Red Fox. I usually pay $40 (maybe $38 or something) for the double room right at the front with a river view just because I like the space and the view but they have a much cheaper.

just one day can i survive more than 2 hours into my tourneys so i dont have 8 hours to kill each night? this is so frustrating, if youve ever played limit omaha hi low at a casino and watched a table full of idiots scoop pot after pot after limping utg with J822 while you wait for AA2 or AK32 and lose every pot to the fools thats what this feels like right now

a year and a half of live where you lose 1 or 2 big pots a night made me forget how brutal online can be at its worst times when you lose your first all in in every tourney for weeks and dont even have a chance, started pounding oreos and cupcakes last week and i almost never eat sweets unless ive banana'ed before

7 hours till bed not supposed to boom boom tonight (since i did last night when i wasnt supposed to)

pretty much no chance im gonna make it

Circuit Hotel & Café

42, St 154, Sangkat Phsrthmey III, Khan Daun Penh,

I usually stay here, $16 a night. No complaints.

2 minute drive from river side, and walking distance of all the decent bars and clubs.

Lol K2, you had 4 winning months on the trot playing maybe only 130-150 MTTs per month, you didn't really expect that to continue did you?

I had the same experience last night.

Pstars has a pretty fun $2.20r NLO8 turbo tourney that probably starts around 10:00 your time. You can buy in at the ninety minute mark about 5 minutes before add on then add 30,000 chips for $2. So it's $6-$10 buy in, first is always over a $1000 and there are so many ****ing morons shoving ridiculous hands it's not funny.

ya i know, ive been playing a long time know the whole variance deal, like i said though its been 2 years since ive had to handle so many losses over and over and over, i hate losing at anything let alone when money is involved and its gonna take some getting used to again

its one thing to go to a casino and lose a flip or two, its another to insta bust out of 10 tourneys

handled it well for the first 2 weeks, started depression pounding the sweets in week 3 and mentioning it on here, now that we are creeping into week 4.......

ill give this a shot sometime, recently i started playing a FPP satelite into the weekly $55 PLO tourney has the same ninety minutes of rebuys plus 30k add on, probably not the best thing for my sanity because as u mentioned they push any hands and im running bad, but just gotta make it through the minefield one time and its worth it
