on tilt before i usually even roll out of bed

set an alarm to get up at 1pm, only other times i ever have a set time i need to get out of bed by would be xmas morning, and i hate xmas cuz for whatever reason when i know i gotta get up early i cant sleep

so slept awful last night, get up at 1 (since the stupid cambo banks close at 330) hop on moto and ask him to take me to "the commune" which is where i was told to go, he asks why i say need something for bank....... so he takes me to the bank, i say no i need to go to the commune he has no clue what im talking about so i go in and ask the people at the bank what to tell him, they say police station or "sangkhat 4"


ya ill choose option B and stay out of the police station (though i find out sangkhat 4 is like a mini police station)

but the moto doesnt understand me and takes me to a restaurant or hotel called "singapore"

the bank today mentioned i needed to bring photos of myself that i didnt have but did at the hotel so i just tell this guy to drop me off at my hotel, grab the photos and start over, walk up to a group of moto drivers and ask them if any of them knows where sangkhat 4 is, they say yes and out pops the same guy who just had no clue where he was going and they tell me to go with him


im like no thanks id rather go with someone else, but the others say go with him, i say he just brought me to "singapore" and they talked to him in khmer and he knew where to go this time


so i go to this place, walk in there is one guy literally sleeping in the back with his shirt off, comes in puts on the shirt buttons it up, find out its $30 to get this certificate (printed piece of paper)

$30 is a fortune over here i cant believe its this much (cuts my current bank roll by a third, looks like only one boom boom for me this week) but what can ya do? so the guy leaves for like 10 minutes then tells me they will drop it off at my hotel at 4


bank closes at 330, i get this at 4....... FML

i ask the guy if he can write a receipt showing that i came here and have this on the way so that maybe the bank will let me open it today, he suddenly speaks no english and has no clue what im asking

so i run around outside (clock is ticking) asking for anyone that speaks english, i find a guy in a suit pulling out of the place next door ask him if he speaks english, says yes, i explain the situation but he for whatever reason doesnt wanna help me out but some others tell me to go to the store across the street where a few people speak english


i go over and a 20ish year old kid comes out who does, i offer him a dollar to come over and translate for me, this lady there says $5......... i laugh in her face and say $1 she doesnt wanna let him go but he goes anyway, translates for me but the guy says he isnt the man in charge and cant make a receipt or write anything for me....... FML

the kid wouldnt take my dollar either, nice guy (and the lady wanted $5)



so i go up to the bank and tell them i just came from getting their certificate can you please open the account today and ill give the the certificate tomorrow, first lady says no i ask can i speak to supervisor please, eventually she gets her on the phone she says sorry she wont let i ask to talk to the lady, explain the situation but no they have a policy and.......... FML


so i run over to the bank that i already have an account with whose "swift code" (routing number for US people) didnt work with moneybookers yesterday, ask them if they are sure they gave me the correct one, got MAJOR attitude from this one lady who is like the manager, has given a little attitude in the past dropping slight mentions of how i never use the account, well today she was a major B telling me how i must have put in the swift number wrong making sure to point out i had to have made a mistake



so then i get back to my hotel and the girl with the blue dress from those pics who came over one time months ago and i just talked to again the other day (asked for her number but she didnt have) is sitting out front of my hotel waiting for me

i barely even know this girl and she asked if she could basically move in with me... umm no

she then tries to get me to boom boom her right now.... again no thanks im not really a day kinda guy plus all the girls who work at my hotel are watching and one is inching closer trying to eavesdrop, then she asks me if she can borrow some money, very few girls will i consider loaning (small amounts) of money to and she isnt one, particularly right now when i have a $60 roll for the next week


eventually im just like i gotta go, come in try the swift code for the account i already have open and again it doesnt work (take that bitchy bank manager)


so now gotta wait for this piece of paper that costs $30 so i can wake up early to go back to the bank for the third day in a row and hope that they are kind enough to let me open my account then


one positive: when asking the girl at my hotel for a receipt for this month so i could show the guy for the certificate the owner came up as the girl asked why i needed the receipt, i told her/them about my banking issues and the owner said it would be fine if i paid him when things got worked out


another negative: headache coming on full strength, knew i would get one with the no sleep.......... FML

1. Im not a complete douchebag. You know Im waiting for a bankwire, and it has not arrived yet. I leave tonight for a month. I was planning to borrow 1000 from a friend to help you out if it did not arrive in time, its just that I can't really be bothered with that now. I just don't care enough anymore.

2. Taking money from your US account or your Skrill is the same. The money is safe either way, its just the feeling that is better So you are not completely ****ed. And of course you can send money back to your US account later. It will cost a few dollars, thats all.

3. I have accounts in several banks here and I have never been asked for a certificate from the sangkat. The girls in the bank must have misunderstood something.

4. Not all banks work, as often bankwires will be send through a NY bank, and Skrill can not work with that. I told you about that too.

As far as I see, everybody involved is either jealous of k2d's lifestyle or wants him, for various reasons, to fail in Cambodia.

Having said that figures out this week on the lead up to world aids day.

One person an hour contracts hiv in Thailand. **** knows what it is in cambodia and other s.e Asian countries must be on par or close to it. Bear in mind that is concentrated among sex workers too.

I also think K2 is as educated as these girls when it comes to hiv/aids. i.e she looks clean and healthy, therefore cant have hiv.
