yo everyone!

Me and my two non-poker friends (swedes in our mid 20's) are gonna visit the states for a month during this upcoming summer.. and I'd very much like some inputs/recommendations for places to hang/visit/explore and it can be anything from smaller unknown cities to beaches, partyplaces, different activities (sports, or just something extreme. no restrictions rly), restaurants, or just general tourist attractions. So pretty much anything!

What we know right now is that we get to LA in early august and from there we're planning on going to San Diego -> Las Vegas -> Grand Canyon -> San Francisco and then taking the coast line back to LA. What we do between/around/in these bigger cities is very open and I'd appreciate any suggestion!

nothing to add as of right now, only that i'm going to be taking pretty much the exact same trip but a bit earlier than august. i'll post here or pm you on a TR of what i've experienced/etc.

(going from nebraska --> colorado/arizona/nevada/LA->then work all the way up the coast up until oregon).

you should go from San Fran -> Monteray Bay Aquarium-> Drive down highway 1 (beautiful scenic drive) to the 101 through San Luis Obispo> stop at McClintocks steak house in Shell Beach (great local steakhouse)-> or the Cracked Crab in Pismo Beach for some great sea food/ Alaskan King crab....best AKC i have ever had is at this place-> then drive to LA-> go to the MOCA (modern art museum in LA)-> check out the La Brea tar pits which is 1/2 mile away from the museum-> stroll around hollywood blvd/sunset-> any club around SB/Sunset is usually off the chain, check out clubzone.com for weekend happening at clubs-> def wanna go to Venice Beach take stroll around there->Magic Mountain is always a blast.like 35-40 min outside LA-> then take 405 down to San Diego-> there is a zipline tour at the Zoo in SD zipline through the zoo...longest zipline tour in North America)-> go to carslbad nice lil beach town,, almost any bar in Carslbad on weekend should run into hotties...also Pacific Beach/Downtown SD for nightlife->then drive out to grand canyone if you guys are set on it-> then hit Vegas-> too much to list in Vegas-> then from Vegas head back to LA.....that would be the best route to take without back tracking and waisting time/money on expensive gas.

Instead of driving from Vegas straight to SF, I'd hit up both Yosemite and Lake Tahoe along the way. Those are two jewels of California, and the summer is a great time to visit them. Some decent nightlife on the weekends in Lake Tahoe as well (Stateline).

You'll have fun going out in San Diego, tons of great places there.
