Cost of Living - 5.9 - Ticos get by on $600 a month but living at a gringo standard will cost as much or more than 90% of the US. Services are generally inexpensive. Almost everything tangible is imported and taxed through the nose.

Recreation - 9.2 - One of the most bio-diverse countries on Earth. Fantastic beaches on both coasts with some of the best surfing anywhere. Ticos love to party.

How Scary? - 7.5 - Generally a safe, stable country. Police corruption still exists but to a far lesser degree than other Central American countries.

Poker Playing - 4.8 - There are games but they have a reputation for cheating. Drunken tourists can make the games great.

How Easy to Get There and Stay There? - 9.8 - Almost every international airline has flights to San Jose and/or Liberia. Though they seem to always be threatening a crackdown, perpetual tourism can be accomplished with a border run every 90 days.

Cost of Living - 8 Prague is definitely cheap but you should not do the mistake and assume it is as cheap as other cities in Eastern Europe. In the center, restaurants rather have West European price level. However, you can have dinner including starter for about 10€ which is fair enough.

Drinks in most of the clubs not really that cheap because clubs expect wealthy tourists and locals do not buy drinks in club anyway.

Concerning rent for apartment ... We pay 1000€ for a 3 bed room duplex apartment with two floors, two bath rooms, big balcony and it's located directly in the center. And locals even told me we pay too much and we could get similar or even better place for less.

Recreation - 9 Really good imo. As it is a major capital, you have a lot of opportunities. The city is really beautiful because it has not been destroyed in WWII ... it looks like a big old town.

Prague is famous for its great nightlife and hot local girls. You can party 7 days a week.

Restaurants are also good and of course you have many different opportunities. However, try to avoid restaurants in the center because they are too expensive and scam tourists.

How Scary? - 9 I was actually close to give a 10 here. I have never seen a fight or anything like that and I feel super save, going through the streets at 4am with my whole live bankroll on me.

Poker Playing - 10 Here we have our 10. Prague is a paradise for live poker. Several casinos with cashgames running 24/7. Games start from 0,50$/1$ until 2,50$/5$ but how I already mentioned, the games are super deep and people often sit with 1500$++ stacks (at the higher games).

How Easy to Get There and Stay There? 9 I am EU citizien, so it was no problem for me. My room mate is non EU citizien and lives together with me, so it should not be that kind of an issue.

I did one for Seville already. Actually, it's on this exact page. Really good city to go to if you can't afford Barcelona. Just beware that it is super ****ing hot during the summer and that there are no beaches.

The Bay Islands of Honduras...Roatan, Utila. Best bang for your buck in the Caribbean & quite literally the last of the Mohicans when it comes to the "old" Caribbean...Not yet ridden by condos galore. You can purchase a 2/2 waterfront w/central air under 100k all day. Could basically live like a king for $250,000...ENough to purchase a hole in the wall dive shop/cafe & a well maintained bungalow of sorts. Also offers the cheapest diving in the Caribbean on the 2nd largest barrier reef on the planet.

Might wanna hit the books on where the Bay Islands of Honduras are actually located then reconstruct your statement. The Bay Islands are cheaper to reside by a mile & safer than another Caribbean destination like Freeport, Bahamas & nothing like Yemen! LMAO

New Zealand, Auckland (lived there for 18 years)

Cost of living 3/10
On the expensive side of things, I remember reading we are in the top 5 countries in the CPI not long ago. Rent for a nice place in the city center youre looking at around $1800-$2k (usd). A Big Mac is about 5usd. 3 course dinner for two at a decent resturant you would be looking at about 150usd. I would say after rent and all expenses, to live a comfortable life style (nice house, going out , eating out, good internet, cable, etc) you would need about $3kusd/month and you will be far from ballin. Take $3kusd over to Thailand and youre a king lol. And if you want a chef/maid be prepared to pay the minimum wage of $12usd/hour.

Recreation/Nightlife 8/10
A lot of clubs and bars really cool atmospher at night. Pretty strong nightlife at world wide standards its up there with the likes of london, most EU places from what I gather although never being there. Main factors bringing it down from a 10 is it gets fairly cold at night even in summer and the girls are sub optimal and not very slutty in general, (I'll get to this later). As far as day activities go its pretty decent, standard stuff like golf, movies, etc is all good. Also if you dont mind a quick road trip out of the city and like outdoors stuff then NZ is the nuts, a lot of nature, rock climbing, rafting, para-gliding etc.

How scary 10/10
Safe as **** not much more to say I think it was rankked as one of the safest countries in the world at one point along with switzerland.

Poker 9/10
Dont know much about live as im only 18 (leagal age is 20 here I believe) but Sky City casino hosts the ANZPT and im sure cash games run regulary.
Online though is 100% legal, no tax, banks are easy going and should be easy to set up. Internet is great, we have 4g and its really fast (only thing stopping me from giving this a 10 is the simple fact I dont know how the live games are)

Getting there 6/10
NZ is pretty sucluded and far from ROW esp for you EU guys, I assume you know how long the flight is from your current destination to Aussie, then just add 3 hours and your at New Zealand. As far as visas go, have no idea obv as I'm a citizen but we have strong economic relation ships with most countries I would be suprised if it was too difficult to get a 6-9 month tourist visa. And I have a feeling most visitors can come for 3 months without a visa at any time. I guess just google it.

Girls 3/10
Gotta admit most girls aren't flash unfortunatly, and are usually pale cause of the cold weather. Obviously there are exception but the hot ones usually know they are a rare breed and are more stuck up and harder to pull, However maybe my sample size is too small eh but if you are in decent shape and have money you should be alright I guess. But comapred to the likes of Latina girls, EU girls, or Aussie girls they look like dog food.

Quick note on the weather, I would say 5-15 degress celcious in the winter is standard and summer is high variance it might be 7 degrees one day and 30 degrees next but in general anything over 20 we are happy with anything above 30 and everyones dying.

Country Malta, city Bugibba/ St Pauls Bay, Year 2013
The north of Malta is a lot cheaper then hotspot cities like Sliema and St Julians. Granted up North is generally a lot quieter with a lot less nightlife. Still some restaurants and cafe's/bars. Scenery is very nice, beach and ocean close by. Even a casino in Bugibba. Lots of supermarkets and smaller little corner stores.

Cost of living: Housing anything form 250 Eur upwards. I rented a nice 2BR, 200 meter from beach, with ocean view for 350 Eur. Utilities including electricity ~ 100 Eur. Food groceries ~ 200 Eur.

Recreation: Bugibba has a man made beach, not the best but Malta seriously lacks good beaches. This is the best you'll find close by. You can travel a few miles and reach some nicer beaches though. I considered living in those areas only to be told that they are like ghost town during winter. Not sure what they are like during summer.
Some bars and restaurants, the cities in the north are more for relaxing and less for partying.

Scary: Not scary but Maltese (older generation) can be racist/awkward towards foreigners.

Poker: There's a casino in Bugibba that runs daily tourney's and they have cash games running in the evening. Nice to break the week from grinding online.

Visas: EU members get to stay as long as they like. The rest of the world, just google it.

Country Mexico, City Playa Del Carmen, Year 2014/15

Cost of living: I found Playa to be quite expensive in terms of groceries and housing. Eating out is cheaper compared to EU countries. Most restaurants charge like 5-10$ for 2/3 course meals. 4 tacos with drinks like 5$.
Housing anything from 500$ upwards. 500$ will get you small studio right close to the beach or something a little bigger a mile or 2 away from beach. Groceries on par with other EU countries.

Recreation: Beach is huge with crystal clear water (albeit not all the time) snorkelling is not very good of the beach. There is a reef in Playa that can be reached if you are a good swimmer, saw some pretty cool stuff, tons of cafe's, bars and restaurants. Lots of nightlife too!

Scary: There's a lot of police there. Literally everywhere. I did not have any problems whilst there, but things did not feel right either. Maybe it's just the way the locals look, kinda sketchy. I almost got bitten twice by 2 different dogs, one of them seemed like a stray, I walked through a street to reach one of the main roads and he obv thought I was invading his territory.

Poker: All online, perhaps some home games too, lots of poker players already there so. There is a casino but it didn't have poker.

Visas: I got a 6 month Visa and if you want to stay longer you need to exit and return. The laws seem really lax, so visa runs seem easily doable.
