Are there any people here who love to hike? What trail/place have you enjoyed the most for day hikes and longer?

Delaware Water Gap has excellent hiking trails that lead to Mount Minsi (PA) and Mount Tammany (NJ) and are part of of the Appalachian Trail. It is very beautiful and can be done by most reasonably fit people in 3-5 hours.

Everest base camp was fantastic. It took me 20 days as I did the walk in instead of flying to Lukla.

There's a day hike in New Zealand that goes past Mt Doom from Lord of the Rings. Can't remember it's name but it was a lot of fun.

Grand Canyon. 2 day hike if you go down, camp by the Colorado River, then hike back up.

The Himalayas is pretty sweet as well (didn't do the Everest camp, but trekking for 7 days just across from the Everest, on Indian land, Chinese and Nepalese.).

Sunset taken from the summit of Kala Patthar. Everest in the middle, Nuptse on the right. I'm not sure what the mountain on the left is.

I enjoyed Mineral King in Kings Canyon National Park (California).

Zion National Park has loads of great hikes (the Narrows and Angels Landing).

Yosemite is obviously great.

Internationally, there are obviously loads.

In the summer which is when those photos were taken it's around 60-75 degrees for sure. So just good boots, short and t-shirt pretty much.
That picture was from the most southern glacier in Sweden though so that's why there's some snow and ice.

I love hiking. The thing is you can do it in most places if you have the mind too. Alberta and Colorado are fantastic places, the rocky mountains are great. Living in Virginia there are still many great places. There are tons of parks and even though the mountains aren't huge the hikes are still great. Just go on google maps and find places that are green near you and go hike them
