Hello everyone, I'm here to choose the best option and I have few questions.
inb4 read these threads blabla. yes I've browsed these threads for months and I read about 1000 pages of thailand thread and I have read last 36 hours straight but I just can't take it anymore and I rather make a thread and ask few very easy questions.

I'm looking for a country where to move and I ask some quesitons and give some information:

I rent out my apartment in my hometown for 450€/570$ a month so that would be my budget for every month.

I'm looking for a place:

* I can life with 570$ PER MONTH ONLY which includes:

*1 room apartment: around 80-130$ (if it's possible ofc)
*Internet
*Food (Mostly I eat eggs, rice, chicken breast, vegetables and whole grain bread and cottage cheese. that's all I have eaten for basically 4 months and I don't eat in restaurants because I count my calories for gym so no point to eat out.)
*Gym membership.
*Maybe some little money for entertainment (doesnt care too much)

Ofc Before moving I would get atleast 700-1000€ backup money But I wouldnt want to use it. my main goal is to live with 450€ per month no more.

I don't beat poker. I only beat nl5 for 5.5bb/100 so I don't want to add my poker winnings to my "life roll"

450€ is what I get every month 100% and I might win with poker(100-300$ per month more) but I don't want to count it in.

I'm in my early 20s and I absolutely hate working that means I can't survive in my homeland and I can't live with my family anymore. I would travel alone in the beginning but I socialize very easy so it's no problem for me. Also I'm 190cm and have done boxing and muay thai when I was younger but I don't want to get in no problem in foreign country so I hope for friendly people and helpful people. also I rate my self as good looking so I wouldn't start to chase whores right away..

Originally I was thinking about chiang mai in thailand but I don't understand visa situation completely so not sure about it.

what about cambodia(sihanoukville?)
vietnam(saigon?) couldnt find a apartment under 300$ when I googled it..
Laos?
Taiwan?

Also If some broke guys who are on the same mission as I am read this then PM me, yes I look for a company who has the same goals like me, playing very micro poker or no poker at all and trying to live with ~600$ per month.

thank you.

*1 room apartment: around 80-130$ (if it's possible ofc)

^This is going to be the toughest requirement.

My wife and I own and rent-out small 1br apartments in Bontang, Indonesia for $100 (including water and internet, not electricity) per month and there is a very good gym less than 1km from our apartment building that charges less than $20 / month.

You could get a SOSBUD VISA in 6month stretches for about $100. Flights to Kuala Lampur can be had for less than $50 if you plan well. You may have to stay a few days in KL in between VISA renewals.

Cooking gas is supplied through Propane tanks, maybe $10/month.

Basic cell phone service is super cheap, again, maybe $10 per month.

The population is mostly muslim (not western perception of muslim, very nice, super friendly and peaceful people).

This is an industrial town, not a party town at all. Maybe three bars in the whole city...lol. There are beaches less than 45 minutes away. Women would absolutely love you, but most would want a serious relationship before going to bone town. Juggling multiple women and telling lies is a good way to get into trouble - Indonesian people take their family ties very seriously and would not look kindly to a westerner playing their daughters as fools.

Locally sourced Eggs, Rice, vegetables and chicken are super cheap.

Your budget would definitely work in in Bontang, but I am not sure you would want to live there - pretty boring city.

I like it because my wife is my guide and best friend we have fun. We eat out every night, drive scooters everywhere and work out together every day. Without her, I would not last 2 weeks there.

Good thing for me, as I do win at poker, is that when I am in Bontang I have no problem grinding 200 hours per month - as there is not a lot to do.

PM me if you are interested.

Okay maybe 80-130$ is too low but up to 130€ then (170$) is it more realistic?

Bontang looks like maybe toooo boring wish there would be some tourists around too.

but how about bali? doable with 600$?

No, Bali is more expensive - by a significant margin.

Expenses associated with VISA runs pretty much rules out all of Thailand IMHO.

Kaosiung, Taiwan would be a perfect place for you - except that VISA runs would put you over budget as well.

Fun town where you would have the best shot is Sianoukville, Cambodia IMO. I am guessing you could find housing for $200 or so (that would be for a year round commitment) and the visa process is manageable.

Disclaimer: I spent 2 weeks in Sianoukville in 2011, so my intel is not fresh.

Thanks for info bro

Sihanoukville was one of my destinations too.. but okay let's say 600$ is too less, I get 600$ anyway every month but let's say I play 100 hours poker and earn 250$ more every month, how far 850$ would get me? alot of new options? is now Bali doable with 850$?

edit: and it wouldnt be end of everything if I'm little bit short for visa runs once ever 3? months or whenever u need to do it because I always can call to someone who would lend me or send me some money thats no problem anyway.. im just going crazy where im living now and I've dreamed about long time to go somewhere where is warm and cheap and idont have to do **** to just live. all i need ise rice, eggs, meat and gym and internet and i would be kinda happy . well would be goood if weed isnt ultimatelly unlegal but doesnt mattter so much tho.

Taiwan for sure. First world country, high quality of life, and low cost of living.

$600 a month in Taipei(capital in the north) might be stretching it though. But things are much much cheaper in the south, especially rent. Definitely doable in Taichung or Kaohsiung.

Basically, India is the only place where u get that rent level, 6 months tourist visa, multi entry, visit in nepal, come back. Money transfers to and from india illegal, playing too in mumbai state. Tricky for over 6 months as so. U can play online poker at stars, not at party and some other places. U can pick tropicsl sea thats life with cooler, or live higher elevation in karnataka state just below tropical but during spring.

There are many countries where 500 dollars is enough for base, see numbeo.com for costs of living, including gym. The rent for one w utilities being 300 dollars. Mexico, south end of brazil, then the east asian countries that are going to make gambling more or less legal, and at least cambodia thinks online also but regulation and taxes unclear but month by month can be there in tropical, and any time maybe anywhere in the world if u can prove u can support urself. North vietnam has cooler winters w sea and the usual very hot summer.

Eastern europe legislation and regulation progressing and bulgaria w stars is legal, romania is also on black sea but regulation needs lower license costs and remove daily tax over 140e wins, as they might, but one can even now play stars and about any site, illegally, while bulgaria is blocked by most sites but stars is legal. Albania blocks many gambling sites, but regulation hasnt started, no player tax, not sure about bulgaria but not supposed to be. Croatia is like albania but costs 200d more and no blocks for gambling any kinds. Laws and regulations not clear in brazil and mexico. Burma might get legal. Kathmandu has water problems, and electricity seems scheduled off a couple hours twice per day, that might be like so at more or less india also, but dont know.

Thanks everyone for responses !!

I dont think it would matter if online poker is legal or illegal as long as I can log on into my stars account and play because If there is problem with cashout or something I can tell someone from my home country to log in with my account (ofc like 24 hours after my last log in in whatever country I would be in) and cashout to my homebank and just log back in few days later back in asia or so.

Now it all depends if I get a short term job to get my 1000€ what I miss or not. If I get this job I might fly out in about one month but still not sure where. going to research all these locations deeply and then decide and I will let you guys know.

btw Mkarne what you mean by that money transfers to and from india is illegal? that means i cand deposit or withdraw any money from PS while im there?

Stars, online wallets, atms, other country bank accounts have no problems with those laws in india. U will just be breaking against the fema law and tax law if u need to pay 30% tax of winnings when living there like over six months. If india starts to regulate and allows eg. stars, u go to jail, but thats about it.

I forgot to mention there is a penalty of 3 times or so of winnings or money transfered, so it will cost extra. If that money officially never comes in india, that is another thing, eg. even indian could use his winnings in another country, but he cant bring them in india, nor deposit from india. Proving one lives w other than poker incomes might help, even when winnning playing in india, and i dont think its a job either as tourists cant work.
