Haha made me laugh with the run to the bathroom thing. I've for sure done that with girls a couple times when i was younger and busted super fast. Cool thing was you could get a boner so fast again it was like you were on natural viagra but even better then Ed drugs.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

Some weird sex, girl said she doesn't like to kiss because of bacteria and just does pecks on the cheek. So while I'm just full throttle, I'm getting these weird occasional baby bird cheek kisses. She dumped a lot of issues on me, so overall I'd give this a 3.5 out of 10, plus the fact she kept getting bit by mosquitos at dinner and was furiously scratching the bites while I was "present." Will write about this in more detail tomorrow. Interesting night and I'm glad I threw back all those work beers at Hooters. Also, girl may have some hives or some ****, not sure what the ringworm situation is in Taiwan.

Appreciate it Vegasvilla!

On an unexpected note, she was telling me how her father was a high court judge who is spending almost 20 years in prison for corruption and bribes. Story checks out, guy took almost 10 million USD in bribes, even the mistresses were sentenced for helping him out with it.

Boris in the Taipei version of TMZ Sunday edition? Let's hope so

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

I guess the highlights...

1. Telling me about the last few guys she slept with who hit and ran, and "but you're different, right Boris?" Oh good god.

2. Having her try and reconcile her father's bribe taking and letting me know about her sister's suicide attempt.

3. Sitting on the couch, "So are we dating now?" God, no, God.

4. Walk her to some crosswalk near my building and as we part, she turns around and yells, "I miss you already!" "No you don't!" And then I proceed to break into a light jog in opposite direction.

5. Text saying, "I had a great time yesterday" within 3 minutes, and 5 of those weird Line animated bears with various ****ty sayings.

"I never miss" is the right response. Of course it loses the double entendre when you're not holding a gun, a la 007 in The World is Not Enough.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

Much appreciated Waxies!

PE: Digging the last pics you just posted. Not sure if fortunate or unfortunate that she wasn't staring down the barrel of my silencer.

Pretty laid back week. Esquire was in town the other night, so we went to my favorite izakaya (Japanese bbq). Esquire regaled with an always entertaining account of his recent date with a Japanese-American woman in Hong Kong. After showing up to the date already loaded, they settle on an upscale Indian restaurant in Central. Esquire continues the binge and is so finely tuned up, that as he goes to stand up, his foot slips on some drink he spilt on the floor and slips face first into his lamb vindaloo and then just rolls over onto the ground. In order to save face, he told me, "So to try and make it seem less awkward, I just laid there in this weird pose for a minute or so." The woman threw her napkin down, said, "are you ****ing serious," and stormed out. "It was so bad that some guy at the table next to me was taking a picture." Not to resign to defeat, Esquire proceeded to finish the meal and order a bottle of wine for himself.

Hot as hell here, but too sticky. Not sure of anything exciting coming up, but maybe will get into something for Cinco De Mayo.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

I think I actually prefer Asian-Americans, Asian-Australian, etc... because always feels like there is less disconnect. My best relationship with Asian women has usually been with Western educated and raised. I still am not sure who or what type of person I'll end up with, since I'm open to anything, but I do think about never being able to really use a metaphor again. Imagine coming home after a stressful day at work and wanting to rant and moan a bit about the day, but have to stop every 2 minutes to explain a metaphor or simile. I just feel like that could take a toll after a while.

I guess Asian-Americans and girls of that sort kind of know their worth pretty well and where they rank on a global scale, which could lead to a bit of bitchiness or combativeness. It's definitely much harder to court one of them in my opinion. Also, their standards for foreign men usually differ from what a local woman may look for. Also, the Western educated and raised are usually from decent money, so they are a bit more aware of your financial and social status, while a very local girl might not pick up on that.

PE: If you are reading this, I'm sure you could weigh in a bit.

Here's a list of some rap albums that I've been quite into lately, listening to them at work. I know people don't come here for my music rankings, but thought I'd share.

1. Action Bronson - Well Done: Produced by NH native Statik Selektah, overall a pretty upbeat album, with Bronson's popular sports and cooking references. After a while, some of songs kind of blend together. Favorites are "Time for Some" featuring M.O.P. and "The Stick Up."

2. Joey Bada$$ - 1999: Was kind of skeptical of Joey at first, but after listening to his verse on ASAP's 1 Train, I realized there was kind of more that met the eye than some thugged out kid from NYC. Some of best songs are him with Capital Steez, who actually is a better lyricist in my opinion.

3. Big K.R.I.T. - Return of 4eva: I got pretty jazzed about K.R.I.T. because I haven't heard anything Dirty South related in a while that I've really enjoyed, since Outkast Stankonia or UGK. Think the cohesiveness and progression of songs in this kind of tell a bigger picture and are all selected really well, similar to Kanye's College Dropout.

4. Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein: Pretty gritty in my opinion, and read someone made comparison to Wu Tang 36 Chambers. I've only given it a once through, but love it.

5. Sonic Sum - The Sanity Annex: Never knew Aesop's right hand guy Rob Sonic was in a group before. Slower album, only a once through, highly recommend. Slower paced album.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

like the music breakdowns. I feel so left behind in good harder new hiphop these days. A bit of Jay rock, flatbush, kendrick sure - but there's so much soft singy remix stuff these days or commercialized **** with all the future/2chainz/migos unintelligible crap.

some of the stuff you listed all songs sound the same to me, but will look into some of it a bit more. thanks for giving a bit of direction of who to look at.

Bank account in taiwan pretty easy to snap up at non-government banks right? Have online banking as well? From quick research it seems like I could grab one with a fake lease if I stick around a month or so to get paperwork in order and collect debit card

Boris: I think framing it as "they accurately judge their value" may not be right. If 1.4 billion Chinese think a girl is pretty average and 300 Americans conditioned to think of Asian women as "sexy", "submissive" and "mysterious" think a girls hot ****, who is right?

I can't quote Seinfeld to my gf or something like that, that's true. Can't say I've thought about it in quite a while though.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

PE: I think you may have misunderstood what I said, since you only quoted the first half and in different words than I phrased it, and in my opinion left out "on a global scale," which was the most important. I think naturally someone who is a 3ck (3rd culture kid) or ABC, etc... is going to have a greater understanding of their overall position in the world. To me, what I was expressing is would a farmer from Hebei (more often than not, preponderance of the evidence here), realize the impact he is having on the world as opposed to a Western educated ABC who is back in China farming (would never really happen but this is a hypothetical)? I don't think so. Surely, the ABC views himself from a much different and in my opinion comprehensive view on the global scale. There's plenty of different scenarios to compare the two, at the moment, that's what is coming to mind after a bunch of beers. That's not to say a good portion aren't *******s, but there's a good amount of *******s from each group. Hope that makes sense.

Re bank accounts, I think having an ARC (resident card) is efinitely very convenient, but actually, there is a form you can fill out from the Bureau of Home Affairs (pretty sure), which is basically the same and lists your current address, etc... It's an official government doc. Can PM link if need, and can be used to open a bank account. Certain banks have minimums (huge ****ing minimums), so CitiBank prob out of the question, but more local banks should be no problem. Wouldn't worry too much. I use Fubon, and they use online banking, and I move some Stars money for Fubon and the kid uses his app to transfer, all within less than a day.

Let me know if any questions,

B

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

Last night took an unexpected turn of events at about 3am, when the 41 year old wanted to meet up and cabbed over from New Taipei City. I wish I could say something exciting happened, but nothing really happened, other than some light making out. Was an overall odd situation. She was very short, to the point that I had to double take at first because I thought she might be a midget (feel like I can say midget after watching Life's Too Short). I think the groundwork was laid, but I don't know, bad case of blue balls. Hopefully something good happens soon with that to report on. She's going to Okinawa for like 10 days though on Monday, so it may have to wait until then.

Spent most of day on couch recovering from last night, actually starting to like my coworkers more.

I actually don't really disagree with you. Obviously they can do better in western countries where their "exotic"ness makes them stick out from all the blondes.

Boris, whered you learn to write? You write much better than most people on 2p2, even nearly all of the bloggers. Just from getting your JD you had to write a lot?

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

PE: I really appreciate that. My thread definitely takes a casual tone and is occasionally typed in haste, so I'm glad there's still some cohesiveness. I would say the majority of my writing ability comes from reading at a young age. My mother emphasized reading for fun, and instead of TV, most of the time my brother and I were reading or playing outside. I also volunteered at the front desk of my town library for too many years to count, so I spent a lot of time just sitting and reading and discussing books with 80 year old women. Around 5th or 6th grade I also started taking Latin and doing some writing courses outside of school, so I think those laid a good foundation.

Looking back on things I've written, it can be a bit cringe-worthy. Law school wasn't really conducive to writing for fun, but I did enjoy writing my dissertation, and then published a few pieces on my own and jointly. I guess my dissertation is quite relevant to my life consider it was on striking a balance in the regulation of Hong Kong's sex industry, which ultimately led me down some interesting paths - from working at a human right's firm, to interviewing Robert Tibbo (Snowden's lawyer) at the office where all the **** went down, to interviewing some working women, and to ultimately bedding more working women than a 23 year old ever should have.

I don't really read Barstoolsports anymore, but I always wanted to style my writing similar to their slogan, "By the common man, for the common man." I'd say my ultimate goal would be to write for a comedy tv series, but I really haven't taken too many steps to make that a reality, other than keeping an ongoing list of different topics, jokes, and scenarios I think could be fleshed out.

Work isn't too bad today, taking Friday off. An odd lull right now and trying to save a good chunk of money for my trip back to the States in July. Talked to Big Dick on the phone the other night, which was swell and brings me to a point about Asia. Asia makes you sometimes sit and reflect on whether this is the happiest you're ever going to be. For me, I think about how Asia would be the perfect spot for me to settle long-term if it had all the people I cared about and all the boys out here experiencing everything with me. But that just isn't practical. I also realize the faults of moving back. At some point I'm going to have to weigh the too to make a decision about where to settle permanently. Currently, I'd have to rule in favor of the Orient.

One piece of advice, if you are ever unsure about taking that path less traveled and moving somewhere else, just remember, the people and **** that you have at home, they will always be there waiting for you to come back. New Hampshire will always be there when I need it, and so will your home state for you.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

One thing that always irritates me in Asia is sometimes just super common things that should be convenient in the States, aren't convenient at all here. Spent an hour walking around trying to find a pack of basic blue pens.

Mamasan Machete:

When I was living in Shanghai, I was pretty out of control. 20 or so years old, living with two buddies in a two story apartment, and no real obligations or worries. I'll say this, I do really like cocaine. I haven't done cocaine since 2014, but that's not because I don't like it, it's because I just have too much fun when I do it, and a buddy of mine had a deviated septum which caused him some issues. I think it truly is the best drug. In China, it is relatively easy to get cocaine, albeit over-priced cocaine. But, when you are just some *******, twenty-something who thinks they are invincible, spending $300 USD for an 8-ball isn't that much of a hindrance. I also had a fraternity brother, Rick Rubes, who was over in China, and he loved cocaine and Lil Wayne, so most of our weekends consisted of doing blow while listening to "This is the Carter."

The two kids I lived with, Big Lip, and the ferret lookin' kid from Haverford, weren't drug averse, but surely were a bit worried at how lawless one could get in a lawless land. One weekend, Rick Rubes and I railed off quite a bit, and ended up at M2, one of those flashy, all you can drink, clubs. We met Big Lip, and some others there. I don't have much recollection from the club other than what Big Lip told me the next day. Showed up, licking my lips a bit, crazy eyed, standing with him at the bar with my drink ticket. Get my drink, immediately drop it on the ground and it shatters, pull out a second drink ticket, get it, drop it once again, and just wander off elsewhere in the club.

Big Lip had this thing where he thought that the hookers in Shanghai actually really loved him and cared what he said. The thing was, Big Lip never actually bar-fined them or paid for hookers (just that one time watching me). If he ever did buy a hooker, he would definitely be the man who kisses hookers on the lips, and then holds them and stares into their eyes after, and says, "you know, you really could do something else for work if you wanted." He and a few others would always go to this hole in the wall hooker bar where you could bar-fine them, but they would just drink and talk to the girls, and tell me the next day, "I think X really likes me." I refused to go, specifically because there were way better spots to go.

But, I somehow ended up getting thrown out of M2, and Rick Rubes was nowhere to be seen, so I got a text from Big Lip telling me to come to the hooker bar. I guess my entrance was theatrical to say the least, after pissing outside with my pants at my ankles right next to the window of the Bar, I kicked open the door to the bar and came in waving $100 kuai in the air, rambling about anal, doggie style, and cumming on people's faces. Hookers are people too, and they enjoy some order in their lives, so this wasn't met with excitement and smiles, but with disgust and scowls.

I don't remember exactly how it happened, but the final straw came after propositioning the Mamasan and tossing my beer bottle against the wall, shattering it. I was so thoroughly tuned up, that Big Lip described the moment the Mamasan pulled out a machete from behind the bar, as one where I wasn't even able to process it. I had my back turned to her at the point she pulled it out, turned around for a second, saw her holding the machete, didn't register, turned back around, and continued trying to engage in conversation with one of the few bar girls. It wasn't until the Mamasan came out from behind the bar, tapped me on the shoulder, and pressed the tip of the blade to my chest, that I realized it was time to go.

I woke up the next day and didn't remember much, but mentioned to Big Lip how I remember the Mamasan pulling a knife on me, to which he responds, "yeah that wasn't a knife man, that was a ****ing machete."

Rick Rubes and I had our troubles during our time in Shanghai, mostly stemming from us getting the **** kicked out of us outside of C's I think it was, by a group of Chinese dudes who were all tatted up. Rubes ended up breaking his hand, and I had a black eye from getting dragged down some stairs and stomped. It turned into one of those situations where it was easier to blame the other, and since we were both hosed, the memory of where the fault lay, was a point of contention.

I've never heard of all you can drink clubs (just parties where you pay a flat fee and can drink all the headache-inducing fake alcohol you want). tier 1 cities have such places?

Also never heard of bar fine bars. I thought most of the of the prostitution was in KTVs and spas, and you have the 三陪小姐in the clubs, who aren't technically hookers. Please tell.

Nice some coke tales. I've done a bit of skiing in my 17-early 20s years. It was fun when you got some good sheit but man i always hated the feeling you'd get after coming down of wanting another line. Even in metro Detroit it wasnt cheap i could only imagine the price of it in a big city of China. I'd never go out planning to do some coke anymore but if i was drunk and somebody had the idea to get some i know id be game to "hit the slopes" hahaha.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

PE: Yeah essentially the same. Pay X amount for as much fake alcohol one's heart desires, and M2 included beer as well.

YF: The drip can be bad next day, and same with you, would never proactively go out seeking it, but probably wouldn't say no after 12 beers.

Also, not wrong about the majority of prostitution going on in those venues, however especially near Heping road in Shanghai, there were quite a few small bars with accompany girls. Also, the one I wrote about was near 延安西路 near Donghua University. It really was a hole in the wall type of place. The business model definitely is girls drinking with you, pay a small bar fine to take them out and then rest is negotiated by you. I imagine one could probably get off without paying the fine if you stayed and drank quite a bit there. These were also not the creme de la creme girls, and usually in their late twenties, and thirties. Their business model really hinged off of customers sitting and drinking with the women, and of course taking one of them out of circulation would cause a hit to the bar. The popularity of such I can't attest to, as I only ever stepped foot in a few, and those were in Shanghai.

Also, prostitution existed in "barbershops" with the swirly poles outside. Streetwalkers decently popular from what I saw in Shanghai, and picked up that one I wrote about.

Dongguan was famous for those barbershops a few years ago. I've personally never seen any barbershops that didn't have a ton of really young guys in tight black tshirts with crazy hair.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

I think Dongguan cracked down a bit ago, yeah? Never made it to Dongguan, but I remember reading the HIV rates there were absurdly high.

Another rainy day in Taipei, life quite uneventful lately. The penis had a bit of a tickle, which I imagine was from the judge's daughter. When we were getting biblical, her ass had a bunch of either acne or almost like ring worm type bites or marks. Not sure if I mentioned, but I blocked her after she messaged me asking for money, as she's trying to get back to the U.S.

With a tickle in the penis, and a Schweppes in hand, I made my way to the STD clinic to see Dr. Ken. Dr. Ken gives me the same disappointed look every time I go in, the only redeeming factor this time was that it was more than 2 or 3 months since the last time I went in.

Another UTI. I'm pretty medically inept, so am not sure if once you get a UTI, it just becomes easier? I feel like almost half the time I have sex, I always end up with some irritation down there, not good for the mind.

STD clinics are kind of like Fight Club, you never say anything or acknowledge it to the person waiting next to you, but you give a nod in solidarity. Strength in numbers. I remember once at the Wan Chai Social Hygiene Clinic seeing an 85 (roughly) year old man being wheeled in to get tests, which I wondered, are we having sex with the same women? I also feel pretty bad because I've broken code before and stood up once and gave a fist pump after Dr. Ken told me it was just a UTI. Also, I once made the mistake of trying to start a conversation with a girl on the way out of the STD clinic in Hong Kong, and she immediately sensed what was going on and straight up said, "what are you doing?" I guess my thought process is, well, we are both about to be clean, and we are clearly ****ing, so why not take the safe bet, I got the results to prove it!

I always end up way hornier after I leave the clinic, especially since you usually see quite a few prostitutes all getting tested. They usually come from work, and last night there were a few in super short jean shorts, and all tatted up. The look on their face is actually more of a "my life and job could be in jeopardy," while mine is just out of paranoia and minor inconvenience.

At least Dr. Ken got a good chuckle about how I brought up starting a VIP rewards system, 1 free test for every 4 visits.

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

My dong issue has seemed to clear up, got e-mailed the report and was just some bacteria for another UTI.

I haven't felt the urge to go out too much lately, which means not getting into too many noteworthy situations.

Mostly just buying and trading some crypto. I had pumped a bit into Ethereum and Ripple quite a while ago. I'd say my knowledge is pretty basic when it comes to it, but I did/still do a bit of research. Granted the research I do, and what I extrapolate from it is probably pretty basic, it has paid off immensely, and I finally feel actually financially stable.

Currently holding BTC, Ripple, and ETH. Looking to next buy Golem, as I think it will be going live on some of the exchanges soon which from what I read should lead to 2-3x in price jump. Also, from my basic understanding, it seems like it is meeting a demand that is heavily in need. Also, most of these are long term holds.

I don't know much about Iconomi, but going to look into that further, and still need to do more research into Augur and Gnosis (but if Gnosis tied to Ethereum, then maybe not a bad idea).

What are general thoughts, and what you are holding?

Re: Boris's Life in The Orient

XRP, ETH, LTC, ETC, GAME, GNT, MAID, BYTE, CLAMS

just don't have time to research so many others. nav is possibly getting segwit in a couple days. depends on what to look for if ur a TA guy or a fundamentals guy, I'm assuming ur the latter (as am I, plus blindly trust a couple TA guys). crypto world takes so so so so much time, imo its better to buy stuff you believe in long term and stay away from the quick pump n dumps unless you have a pretty clear idea what you're doing. lots of chatter on game, ltc, xrp lately. I feel like a tool for not going harder on game when it was pretty damn obvious we were going parabolic soon.

Thinking about going to taipei in a couple weeks, but it just feels expensive. Can you compare it at all with other countries you've been to? Is there any certain time of year to go that's much better than others. Not sure why I'm so hesitant about it, it was top of my list a couple months ago. I also thought surfing would be more accessible from the capital but it doesn't seem like a 'walk down to the beach' kinda place.

UTI seems weird as well, you got actual UTI and not STI? I thought only girls really could get UTI's easily because their urethrea is next to their anus, and the main cause is getting sh*t in ur pisser, basically. Anyways STI/STDs are awesome. burns when you pee, take a pill, and its gone the next day. highly prefer getting gonorrhea or something than the flu.
