is anyone still down there? took me a bit longer than I planned but finally got my flight for end of april. most likely gonna stay 3 months in bc grinding and mountainbiking. would be awesome if someone has a room for me or wants to get a place together or just meet up.

anyone knows if you can get a 3g prepaid? last time i was there it was new in brazil and u could only get it as a brazilian with a contract. im reading about that theres prepaid now but cant find it on the official sites of vivo, tim etc.

maybe someone here has updated information/experiences with that. thanks

i got the one from TIM but its pretty useless for grinding here in balneario. not sure about other cities though.

been here a month now and despite low season its just awesome. seems like all the grinders here moved away though. I met one of the last but he quit poker as well and moved north.

only heard of 3, 2 quit poker and one got a family and moved away. there isnt a poker community anywhere in brazil like you have in thailand, phillipines, argentina etc.

oh nice, forgot about that blog, gonna update it today. im fluent in portuguese, which makes things a lot easier. i think the biggest thing was me moving here alone so I really had to make some effort.

as I said before, I dont know about a community here. I asked in the brazilian poker forum maisEV and found one guy who already moved away. the guy that started this thread isnt living here anymore either.

you could check in the BC poker club, ive never been there though. buyins are really low.

also would like to ask, maybe someone can help here:

im looking for an internal ssd hard drive for my notebook. (hm2 is too slow) been to 2 stores and they said they cant even order one. checked dell.brazil and cant choose details of notebooks like i could with dell.germany etc. would be great if someone knows an online shop or hiow to get those specific harddrives.
my line would be amazon.com and just pay the extra shipping costs. did that with a specific mountainbike tool and took about 10 days, not sure if they tay electronics though.
im extending my stay here so cant wait till i get to europe.

We're at least 3 poker players going to BC and Floripa first week of January and staying at least 3months. Two of us stayed in florianopolis this year from beginning of february to late march with ~20 other poker players. We really enjoyed having a big group of people and since we're only 3 confirmed so far going this early we would like to get to know other english speaking poker players in the area. Feel free to shoot me a pm!

Since we're expert at getting scammed by basically every landlord we've had in brazil any tips on how to fix a nice house/apartment would be very much appreciated as well =)

how expensive it is to live in a nice place there alone ? still secure ?

if theres highstakes poker player there might be a insensitive too, i play 2-4 10-20
