Re: Ask us about Thailand!
anybody know a travel agent, preferably around nana district thats speaks good english.
i found this link about coaches from bkk to samui
http://www.kohsamui-info.com/transportation/coach.html
and it says that "generally" coaches go inside the ferry and leave you in nathon, which is perfect. but spoke to a couple of travel agents to clarify that the coach they wanna book for me does, deffo, abso-bloody-lutely do the trip all the way with same coach, they smile profusely, and say, yes, possible, but there is no doubt in my mind that they really havent got a clue what i'm on about other than its a coach ticket that will get me from bkk to samui.
any help appreciated.

you have to go to the bus station and buy your ticket there.. or use

name of bus station is
Sai thai mai
any taxi knows where it is(a lil outside bangkok)

Re: Ask us about Thailand!
Racha Island was great when I went, 3 days might be too long though. It's hardly even a holiday from Phuket though as it's only round the corner!
If you've never been to Samui then you should check it out there, I really enjoyed it

Re: Ask us about Thailand!
for "different from Phuket" i would try Kanchanaburi. i had a blast there, Erawan Falls, Tiger Timple, bridge over the river kwai. the people were amazingly friendly, and i thought it was a great little area. i was a real big fan of the falls, though, so maybe that swayed me too much.

Re: Ask us about Thailand!
Is there anywhere in BKK that is good place to go for a good jog? (would i need a respirator?) Also, has anyone been to California Wow? I signed up on their email list and they sent me an "invitation" for 1 month free membership coupon lol. I hope not to come across the typical douchebaggery that gyms in the US show: Gym douchebag salesmen says hey pal sign up TODAY to take advantage of the special membership pricing. It's only valid TODAY lol.
I'll be in LOS in January..

I think Lumpini park is your best option. I go there once or twice a week for a run. Think the lap is a bout 2.5km. I like afternoon/evening when its pretty busy, has a nice atmosphere & its not to hot.

California Wow is definitely gonna have the scum salesmen. I walked by the one in Silom and they were handing out cards for 1 free week so I went to grab one in case I felt like going. The lady wouldn't let go of the card and told me to go to the office or something. They always hang out in front of the gym in Paragon trying to solicit you also. Its basically just like a scummy US gym.
