Seems the Thai immigration authorities are really clamping down on foreigners getting visa extensions.

I went to Jomtien immo today to hopefully get a 7 day extension on my 30 day visa waiver that i got when i landed, 30 days ago.

I know you can get 7 days for 1900 B and have flight booked to leave in 7 days time. Didnt bother bringing a print our of the confirmation i thought i cold just show them the email confi on my phone if they ask.

So i fill the forms, stated i wanted 7 days extra, pay the 1900 baht and wait, i waited about 20 mins. Get passport back and it has 30 days extension in it.

I tell ya the whole thing was very scary, i really feel that the time is up for us!

If I may give my humble 2 cents then just do what you love doing.. Poker can be thought of as a sport and they competitive, it's much easier if you love doing it and money's just a way of keeping score.. sure it gets rough sometimes with downswings but you face those tough times in all sports and you can even face tough times in all kinds of various professions.

Sure there's boxers that get in the ring just for money, you can do that too but most boxers don't make much money, they usually need another job on the side.. it's like this with a lot of different types of jobs that you do for the love and not for the money.

Imho, it's better to do what you love for a low income instead of something that you hate for a big income.. keep in mind that a full time job basically requires a 24/7 mindset and they take up about 70-80% of the time of your life.

Yeah I mean point being politics doesn't affect us, we are just here for girls, cheap living and working online / poker. The visa situation seems ok at the moment, I'm on my 4th visa exemption this year and Laos streamlined their system, they approve everyone for tourist visas at the moment.

Take out some of the time you spend making a 20 posts/day on 2+2 and start studying, like an adult would instead of just asking to be taught. Go read Reddit threads in the r/workonline section. Go read sites like smartpassiveincome, problogger, sidehustlenation, and nichehacks (that guy actually lives in BKK coincidentally).

I stay in Ratchada. Tons of buidlings with condos ranging between 12-20 baht/month long side the main road/mrt system. Just signed up a 1y contract for 14k/m in a brand new building. 100m from mrt.
Deeper into the sois you can find decent apartments for 5-8k monthly.
