kick2dante you have been posting the same questions for months now. Nobody can help you decide where you would be better off except yourself. The only advice I can offer you is to be honest with yourself about whether or not you can afford to move out of home, since everything you said so far suggests you don't make much money playing online poker.

@K2

jspill told you exactly how to do it without having to use 2+2ers (which are safe anyways). Did you read any of that nice post he did for you??

Also you keep going on about weed, your chances of getting caught buying/smoking that are a billion times more likely than ever getting caught playing poker online.

I know guys caught in a live underground casino playing poker all they did was pay a fine and were out the same day.

Make sure you see pics of the girl first though man.

I'd be up for this too, but would want to see pics first. Actually would want to see pics of the guy too, just so it's not some 400 pound guy or something like that.

If girl is reasonably attractive, and guy isn't too gross why not go for it?

MMF 3-some isn't as good as FFM, but I'd still go for it.

In his defense, he hasn't played a hand of online poker since Black Friday. The games are obv different now then they were pre-Black Friday, so it's pretty hard to say if he's an online winner or not in the current games. He won't know until he goes for it.

2x currency conversion? Even if you tell them that all fees are covered by the recipient? ( exept the neteller processing fee ofc ).

It is possible to through something in the air in thailand. Its just not good quality.

My situation: I am a US citizen. My wife is a Russian Citizen and US Green Card holder.

What would be the best way to set up online poker in Thailand?

Would it be best to set up the bank account and poker account in Russia and then go to Thailand?

Could I just go to Thailand and frshly open everything there? I assume not based on what I hear about legality in Thailand.

Thanks in advance.

Another question about possible ways to get money off and on, even though the whole legal issue thing.

Can't you have an HSBC account set up in another country (your home country, or if from the U.S. maybe the Philippines,) then have the money deposited and cashed out with sources linked to that bank account, then withdraw the money from a Thai branch of HSBC?

Or can you only withdraw the money at a branch in the country you have the account initially set up in?

nah even though its the same company name different banks. You just get it sent to the HSBC of whatever country and then use you atm and bare the international atm charges. Or you to an internation trasnfer. Thats what i did for a cpl of years. w/e u do you have some kind of vig but thats fine.

My account on Neteller is USD. Neteller can not send funds in THB or USD. So i had to send in Euro, paying a 2.5% conversion fee, then, after being received at Kasikorn, pay another conversion fee to convert to THB. Neteller also charges a fee for the wire itself.

You can also apply for the Neteller card, which i have never done or tried. They claim only a 1% total fee, though i wouldn't be surprised if another fee came up.

Taking out 35,000+ baht cost me around 7%.

wow that's just plain robbery by neteller

they can't send the money in USD?

lol

setup moneybookers if you can. as vip you can have accounts in multiple currencies and can send money to thailand in your account currency so the only exchange fee is at the thai bank's end and they don't rob you

Pretty sure sky's the limit at the duty free when you're coming into Thailand. It's importing stuff back to your home country that has the limits.

I was just planning on using my regular Canadian bank account. I can cash from Stars directly to there. Then transfer money from my Can bank account to my VISA or MC via online banking. Then get all the THB I need by just cash advancing on my credit card at ATM's in Thailand. VISA/MC has the lowest vig on conversion possible. I have no plans to ever open a Thai bank account unless I have some other specific reason (like VISA requirements).

I think this is the best option for all non-Americans?
