Sounds about right. Thing to understand is that gogo bars aren't really designed for the girls to be going with customers a lot. They are designed to get you to hang out a buy drinks. Sapphire for example doesn't even have topless girls.

hard to find girls 18 or 19 now in gogos. they all seem to start at 20, and even then they're often lying about how young they are.

my recent visit to bkk left me even more discouraged about the gogo scene, however, i wasn't there on a friday or saturday night.

maybe, just maybe, places like crazy house and twister improve on those nights, but i doubt it.

something will give in the next 5 years. the gogos are pricing themselves out at these rates. if they're counting on a chinese invasion, then i don't think the chinese will be clamoring for brown-skinned farm girls.

there will be a tipping point where people move on to the philippines, cambodia, vietnam, indonesia, etc. sure, none of these places can match the thailand gogo experience, but that "experience" died about 4 years ago and is never coming back. so people will move on. all the information is out there on the internet.

Barfines at some places are just absurd nowadays. Forget barfining them at the gogo spend the 1500 and just find one on soi 6 or the disco for that price. You can find some treasure in the trash on soi 6 from time to time.

Thai girls don't read profiles, or maybe if they are just a few words so it doesn't matter. Yours is way too complex.

About Tinder - delete your account and create another one. The lack of match may be due to the fact that the algorithm don't show your profile anymore. When you are "new", it makes you extra visible. Use the function "boost" also. And do not swipe right on too many girls - being picky helps getting shown more often.

You will get 2x more success if you shave your beard, most asian girls prefer guys with a shaved face.

maybe they're just being nice to me but i've had some success with a (small) beard and compliments about it. but old mates beard is too ridiculous and has to go.

G2a had a good tinder profile example here. Have some more colorful interesting things in the background like that which make it clear you're in Thailand, like Thai food, Thai beaches, temples, animals are good too.

It kinda looks like you're in the US, one pic is there, then one is dark with no background, one's just a low light bathroom pic, then a golf course. You look good in the last pic without a beard and slim fit black top, I'd agree lose the beard and more pics like that. Since you're athletic, go for black / white slim fit tees, lose the suit.

Pics are not bright / clear / eye catching except the first one, if you were clean shaven in that pic holding a kitten with a Thai beach in the background it'd be gold.

Agree on them not reading anything more than 1 or 2 sentences in your profile. So just have something like: 'I was a doctor and golf player in the USA, now living in Thailand looking for a serious girlfriend and love. I stay in Thong Lor'. Add in emojis of stethoscope, golf ball, USA flag, Thai flag, loveheart, etc. to catch the eye, on the apps that support that like Tinder. Try Skout app too.

Sounds like you want to learn Thai so just put 'I want to learn Thai' then like one word in Thai สวัสดี ('hello') some girls will message saying they can teach you. Some 'good girls' use dating apps for language practice, sounds like that's the kind of girl you're after. Then you can meet them for 'language exchange' and take it from there.

They will see your age and you'll get a lot of older chicks who are looking for a foreigner to 'take care', when they see you are actually looking for a serious relationship you'll get a lot of matches. But at the mo they see a wall of text they don't understand (starting with a literary quote), scary beard, 2nd pic looks angry, so they move onto the next profile before realising.

Had 2 friends come over who are conventionally good looking and do well in Canada with women and didn't fare as well in Thailand. Both dress nicer than me, in slightly better shape. I attribute it to them being of Italian descent and having beards. Not to brag, but the difference between the attention I get in Thailand (clean shaven, pale white guy) and them was astounding. Where as in Canada i'd say they both do at least as well if not better than me.

Def something to do with what Thai girls find attractive as opposed to the West.

Also considering the language barrier is pretty strong I don't think having "game" matters too much. If they like what they see and your'e not a complete ahole - you're good. If they don't like what they see it's probably tougher to assert your personality into the equation compared to the west.
