Looks like he has a good deal and is happy. Good for him.

I don't get the CM hype either, but I must say CM seem to have the best value for accomodation. But I think I would be bored there in a month.

I think in the west it'd qualify as a storage room. Good if he's happy, but it's kinda weird to compete with the poorest locals for accommodation in the 3rd world.

CM hype is mainly about cheap accomodation, easy to get around city with nature nearby and a hub for solo internet hustlers. Not recommended for mongers or guys who need a larger selection of girls.

While I don't mind that sometimes, the transportation kills it for me. Almost no taxis, uber and grab getting fined into oblivion, songthaews are too ghetto for me, scooters are death traps.

Best sim for 4g and Wifi on Samui/Koh Phangan? I heard Dtac is alright but not as fast as Ais? The info I read was from 2015 though, anybody recommend the best sim card?

The wifi spots are all around Samui but you need a sim with data to connect, right? Then if I have no Wifi nearby I can tether 4g, correct?

Going to use 4g mainly for poker, then do the downloading through Wifi etc.

No Lease as I'm living with Thai people.

Recommended bank(s) to get document from?

Is phone bill easier?

I don't know much, always got wife to do everything in the past.
