Neteller Net+ MC works out to around 4% from usd to baht including $6usd fee and exchange vig taking out 30k at a time compared to xe trade rates.

PS direct wire to K-bank cost 2%. Is Skrill better than Net+? Neteller just seems more suited to Thailand address. Fully legit for deposits as well as cashouts.

Grinding 12+ tables full time hours efficiently requires a special gift and/or Adderall/Modafinil. Some have the gift, naturals at multitasking, task prioritizing, mental game, focus, discipline, ect. The best successful mass table grinders have that on top of millions of hands of experience that allows them to make many key decisions subconsciously and automatically at the level of unconscious competence, even more reducing the rate at which fatigue sets in. I'm talking about guys like lol69, the very best, that simply need to put on some headphones and mash buttons and boom, they're crushing all day every day full time. These guys would never be grinding NL5 in the fist place so it's a moot point. We're talking about a guy whose struggling and working out strategies to change his life a bit.

Most regular mortals, lose focus/clarity/mood/interest sooner than that. Also sitting down in a chair full time hours barely even able to take a quick piss can lead to obesity, bad Hemorrhoids, high blood pressure and a number of other health conditions. I don't doubt Spiv, that I would find teaching English 30hr/week a type of hellish tedium. But people do tend to overestimate the value of human interaction and regularly being able to get up and stretch, take a 15min break, ect. Of course that's well worth it if you can 12+ table NL100+ for a decent win rate because then you're being compensated very well. But, full time hours glued to a chair mass tabling for $5-$10/hr...... It seemed to me you were just making sport of the guy who was asking a serious question.

Cheers

Hey I read some guys here got their ipoker accounts locked for playing from thailand.
It just happened to me as well and it seems they took all my money too? Says I have zero balance now and I can't withdraw.. I made my deposit with my european visa card by connecting with teamviewer to my fathers computer.. Is my money completely gone or can I get it back my doing the teamviewer thing again or do I need to email them asking for an unlock? Can I then use teaviwer to withdraw? It was a lot of money for me :/

.
12 tabling 6-max sees about 1000 hands an hour. So 150k hands is only 5 hours a day. You could do that every day and still go out every night of the week.

Ughhh..what does anyone know about this? I am having issues loading my cashier in titan poker client, and they havent emailed me back yet as to why (when usually I get quick responses). I also just had a nice upswing this week on there. Pls I hope we can still withdrawal. that would be shady if they let me play and win..than give me a problem!

I asked Skrill how much it will cost to withdraw in Thailand.
They told me they dont have anything to do with withdrawal and whole transaction is operated by mastercard.
Mastercard doesnt charge anything for converting currency.
Of course some people cant use ATM and choose ATM exchange rate insted of Mastercard exchange rate...
Maybe becouse they like to be cheated?

Bank transfer will be about 3% as far as I know.

So stay better with Skrill VIP Card
Pretty sure a ~2% conversion fee gets charged by someone(pretty sure it's Skrill). Otherwise you could use the Aeon atm bottom floor of Terminal 21, which does not charge the 180 and take out money for no fees at all. That's "usually" not how banking works.

According to today's rate(highest in a month) 20180baht is ~$627, yet for some reason some days ago when the rate was even lower it cost ~$632 to withdraw. Could Skrill have really lied?

PS. the exchange rate options at the atm don't mean 2% or 0%, they mean 2% or 4%, give or take decimal points.

Although it does not come out to 2%, so w/e, maybe it's just the difference in buy/sell rates by mastercard(too lazy to check).

Skrill say themselves on their website that they charge a 2% currency conversion fee.

kasikorn charged me 1.6% last time i sent about 3000 euros last month(rate i got compared to xe.com rate at the same time). it used to be below 1% but i couldn't find anything about upped fees but i guess they have upped them

also the transfer is taking longer. from skrill the money used to hit my bank the next business day after the processed email by skrill. now it hits on the 3rd business day :/

Been in Thailand a few days. Just dropping in to recommend the Bodega hostel. Great fun, well run, got a bar and usual drinking games at night. Beds are very comfortable as well.

So I have a few questions about getting to thailand, planning to go on the 15th of may.

If I go for a month, I do not require a tourist visa from the UK correct? They just issue me a 30 day visa at the airport.

If I was to stay 2 months, can i just use the 30 day visa and then purchase another 30 days while I'm in thailand?

And finally, can anyone recommend a good cheap apartment for a month in bangkok & chiang mai

Many thanks!

Edit - Also should I get the injections for hepatitis and stuff? And would you recommend insurance? (I heard hospitals are cheap over there)

don't need visa for 30 days or less

for 2 month trip easiest to get a tourist visa from the UK before leaving

get traveller's insurance!

you are in kind of a hurry for vaccinations. hepatitis vaccination takes around 1mo before it gives you protection as it requires a booster after a month from the first dosage

Just researched it some more and it's more for peace of mind it seems, also hepititas isn't fatal so if I get ill i'll just go to a local doctors.

If anyone knows any good apartments then please let me know!

thats true spiv. lots of people play 1.8 million cash hands a year and go out every night. probably at least 2 or 3 seasoned regs. the rest are just allergic to money and parties

no reason why a 5nl player couldnt go pro and play 1.8 million hands a year. this should end well. good plan and good advice spiv

12 tabling for 5 hours a day, everyday seems easy in theory, but realistically it's surely nigh on impossible - especially with the distractions that Thailand brings and dealing with downswings etc, anyone who can ride through them and still grind that many tables for that many hours a day is a machine.
