She went to Korea to visit for a week, never came back.. it's a really long story though..
what's the story if you don't mind? I'm pretty interested

I'm in Chengdu, China right now and I thought this was kind of funny:

I can play on all poker networks fine with no help of a vpn. I cannot however visit facebook or youtube. I must log onto my vpn for those lol

Re: Ask A Pro about Living in Seoul, South Korea

Yea, when I was in China, Youtube, Google/Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Blogspot, etc. were all banned. There are ways to get around this but it sucks and this was one of the reasons I left China.

Questions:
-Where can one find good "LA style" galbi in Seoul? I prefer this over the "regular" galbi, not sure how else to describe it.
-What is the equivalent of facebook?
-How often do you use Naver?
-How would you rate your Korean skills now, from 1-10?

Re: Ask A Pro about Living in Seoul, South Korea

LA Style galbi is

dunno what LA stands for but I just assume L = LONG. SO maybe..LONG ASS Galbi :P

I don't use Naver but stuff like Naver and QQ seem to be superior than the american messaging formats we use: skype, aim, msn

Like above poster, I'd get owned by a little kid : / So i give myself a 3. I've actually d/l'd pimsleur onto my ipod, if only I started studying...

You generally find LA style galbi @ tofu houses because well...the other stuff is better :P

Really good galbi in seoul is ****in expensive

I had this my last night in Korea and omg it's ****ing amazing. Best meat I've ever had (i've never had kobe). It literally like melts in your mouth:

we call it 살치살. Don't ask me about the meaning : /
