haha pretty much, there are some serviced apartments you can look into that have washer dryer etc, and are pretty nice. like gangnam artnouveau city i found pretty good.

any 4 star hotel here is gonna be pretty good to be honest. They aren't very expensive either haha at least if you dont compare it to bangkok. The standard of quality is much higher here than in europe or USA. I've stayed at Renaissance, Novotel Ambassador, Gangnam artnouveau city, Ramada Seoul, Samjung, Prima, Riviera, IP boutique and all of them were pretty good. except maybe samjung haha really dirty carpets.

I dunno about itaewon/gangnam method but personally I'd rent at the airport because it's so damn convenient. You definitely DO NOT want to be without a phone.

hongdae- there's a ton of clubs so no real recs, you just go to the main strip and check it out. m2, FF, cocoon, club naked etc.
itaewon- b1, luv lounge and club volume.
kangnam- NB, ellui, answer, eden, mass, heaven
booking clubs should be good on weekdays too.

clubs are always good. i'm from LA so i'm used to seeing hot girls but the quality and quantity of chicks that go out here never disappoints.

i'm not the person to ask, i know it's been said before that Club I and Boss (in Cheongdam and Apgujeong, respectively) are among the best.

some foods you guys should be eating before leaving korea

Samgyetang: The korean version of literally chicken soup imo, stuffed with rice, ginger root, and sometimes garlic. Go to this specific location. I used to eat there once or twice a week.

dduk bokki: GREAT drunk food

eat some odeng (fishcakes) and make sure you drink the soup that comes with it! it's so good

Also recommend eating Sun Dae with the dduk bokki, I like to dip it in the spicy sauce:

kim chi jigae is a personal fav. Typically everyone thinks their mom makes the best kimchi jigae:

Tofu has a bad rep in America and I can't blame you guys, it ****ing sucks out there. Tofu in Korea is way way better.

one of my fav dishes, soon duboo - make sure you go to a legit place, there are some pretty bad soon du boo places:

Soonduboo is so good, I would kill for some right now. Sadly there's no decent korean restaurant around here.

Can't wait to go back to Seoul.

Mul Naeng Myun:

Bibim Naeng Myun (I prefer hwae naeng myun, spicy + raw bits of some kind of tough fish)

typically a naeng myun house sells Mandu! (potstickers/won ton) I prefer them steamed, and hopefully they have my fav. wuang mandu (king won ton)

Store bought frozen ones aren't too bad actually, but you need a steamer. Also, soy sauce + rice vinegar = win.

Standard Dish:
Bibim Bap - really good, eat it when you're feeling like being a little healthier

Kimchi Jeon:

the main type of "Jeon" is haemul Pajeon (seafood pancake)

traditionally drunk with:

it's gross imo but some people really like it.

BOSSAM! Really good Bossam is ****in great. Take a piece of cabbage, put the bossam(pork) on it, some kimchi, eat, enjoy.

If you're having a hangover, pretty good hangover food is Seolleong Tang. Beef broth soup, with various meats (I prefer it with cow tongue). You're given some sides of Kimchi, green onions, salt, and usually some red pepper spice. I might be unique in how I eat seolleong tang but I prefer spicy, so I suggest putting in the green onions, salt, red peppers, and take some of that good ol' Kimchi soup liquid and pour it in the seolleong tang as well. Yum. Careful as Kimchi is prepared with quite a bit of sodium as well, so maybe put in the salt last.

It's the summer time, so help yourself to some pat bingsu! (pat means bean)

shaved ice + red beans + fruit + ice cream = yummmmm
