ya, like every 10k u put down shaves off 100$ or something off the monthly rent (not sure exactly cuz i've never done it myself)

if i were you i'd put myself around apgu or kangnam

its very easy to get what u want in your price range virtually anywhere in korea.

im basically in your shoes, moving back to seoul soon and after a month of partyhouse / friends i gotta get appt. for myself. i'm thinking of samsung or yeoksam due to the easy access to kangnam/apgujeong areas

that's such a ******ed concept

I pretty much want to live near apgu or kangnam. I don't have a reason to live north of the river anymore so might as well live where the action is

I'm excited, can't wait to contact a real estate agent and see what's available. I hope they're pretty sick for 2k/month.

i'd love to live there but I don't think I can afford it : ( I'm sure it'd make mouths drop just by telling ppl I live there.

that's like a minute away from where i live. you'll never live there. they don't do rent there either. lot of google execs from korea live there. i think the minimum to buy there is like 4million USD.

Seoul is awesome. Moved back about 6 months ago, living near Gangnam now.

Does anyone else ride a motorcycle here? No license plates/license needed, and speed limits don't exist. Most fun decision I ever made.

damn you're a crazy guy tman, gl haha

hey rekrul/july, do you guys tell people openly that you're poker players? I usually get a good reaction when i'm there but my parents have been advising me not to. Granted they grew up when the mafia was more prevalent but yeah...

It doesn't sound as cool here as it does in the US. Generally speaking.

I only tell my close friends that I play poker, if you say you are consistently making money from poker, most people in korea just won't believe it..

so you haven't gotten much positive feedback then from calling yourself a pro poker player?

TR on your night outs so far, surely one of them's epic given the way you roll

nah ive always gotten really positive feedback when i say im a pro poker player but thats cuz a. i can explain it in korean, b. i have a shiny watch, and c. often times its a korean friend explaining to them for me in a braggish way lol

i don't really tell people that often though, especially girls, i find it better to keep it really vague and say i'm a beksoo (백수 or male lion aka 'im a freestyler' or 'i dont really need a job') and monster them in 반말 (not the respectful form of korean) lol
