Honestly I wouldn't spend that much on Rosetta Stone, it's way too expensive for what it brings. You'll only get the very basics and I'm pretty sure you won't be making any complete sentences at the end. If you want to learn the language, you have to get your hands dirty. Getting yourself a book (http://www.amazon.com/Elementary-Kor...6324228&sr=1-1). It's cheaper and you'll learn way more but obviously you have to put more effort in learning than with RS/Pimsleur. Watching movies/shows in Korean woud help too.

didn't discover this thread until my 6th day in Seoul. I'm here visiting my friend. Will stay here till Wed I think. I been stuck at my friend's apartment when he's at work. I can't go anywhere cuz he lives in a residential area and I don't speak the language at all (only thank you and soondubu, kimchi jigae, galbi tang). Def up for meeting up w/ 2p2ers who are in Seoul now. I really want to try booking club. show me around please?

If you're really bored take the Subway to Itaewon Station on the Brown line. Tons of bars, western restaurants and foreigners.

epik high is illuminati

check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OkiGO7u-6w at 2:49. That's the eye of the illuminati, and the video is obviously about their depopulation agenda through vaccinations/ destruction of the American middle class( burning of the dollar) which is one of their grand master plans for the New World Order. Never knew that they would infiltrate south korean pop-culture.

watch this to learn more about illuminati symbolism

Kyoto but no Osaka or Kobe? They're like 30 minutes away on the JR train. I had the same experience in Kyoto, sore goddamn feet. Walking up mountains to temples then across the city.

Agree that its really gorgeous. I was there in January though, must be really nice now with the autumn foliage.

Good thread. I been living in Nowon hub of Seoul for about 3 months now teaching at a hagwon and grinding mtts and sng's about 3-4 weeknights every week after work from like 12am-4am (7am if I can ft). But can't play on weekends too much to do. This thread has hella good info on seoul tho. the hiking out here is super sick. had a booking club experience a couple weeks ago with some Korean friends; it was a mixed bag cause it was so hard to talk to the chicks since my Korean is non existent but I still had a good time. One girl was really into me but she was not hot at all and I found it kind of difficult to let her know i wasn't tryin to get down (why can't this have happened with the fine chicks). I'd go a lot more often if my Korean was decent at all but not really worth it since I can't talk. I'ma ask my friend what the name of the club was cause I can't recall right now. Any 2p2ers in Seoul we should meet up and have a drink for sure.

sidenote: I was about to get a vpn or whatever it's called cause I can't only play on stars, but about 2 weeks ago I was able to get on ftp and I have been able to ever since. I will be doing the vpn thing if access gets restricted again, but its been ok for 2 weeks. I cant click on last hand though, it shows the korean message that this site is blocked lol/ but playing on the site is generally smooth with no issues besides the major fact that i can't replay hands via replayer.
