went there over the weekend again and i started to play cash as well even though i am no cash gamer at all. there was a funny hand. after like 20 mins, i had 66 and called an open raise. 3 way. flop 367(rainbow), i dont know more exactly if he was just open limping or the BB but there was a bet, the open raiser just called and i raised obviously with a set. both call. turn 7 and both check, i put in about 2/3 of my small stack, both call again, then going all in on the river with a blank. the guy behind me goes above that and the other guys shoves all in, show down was 66 vs 77 vs 88. i am glad, that i lost vs quads, otherwise i would have been so pissed (because i wouldnt have gotten the badbeat jackpot), dont know, why the guy overplayed his 88, but maybe he thought he was ahead at least against that other guy. i was just like "wtf happened?" and smiling all the way, i took it with humour though, i dont think i have played that hand wrong, i mean i just bought in for minimum buyin anyway and i was + that day because of midday.

Congrats Man!! I thought for the BBJ both hands had to be Aces over Tens or better to qualify?

I didn't get the bad beat jackpot^^ because a third person was involved in the pot and I lost fh vs quads. I don't know the details about the jackpot in detail. But in my opinion 66677 vs 77766 would be enough for a bad beat ^^ I hope that will be the last time getting sucked out By quads vs my fh xD

Hey, im moving to Seoul, from mid february, for 5-6 month to finish my bachelor as well as to play some APPTs (Seoul, Macau, Philippines...).

Anyone can give me some recommendations for accommodation in Seoul? Which areas are cool to stay at? I only know Sinsa, Ittaewon, Gangnam so far... Any ideas?

Are there any powerhouses looking for a new flatmate? Im open for anything...

Im 24, german, although lived most of the last 7 years abroad in the UK, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam...
I play highstakes HUs sngs, although I am now focusing more on tournaments, especially live ones.

If anyone can give me some information or just wanna catch up for some ChiMac when I get over to Seoul just PM me.

Regards,

Markus

Loosekanen, no satties yet. I'll ask about them next time I go.

@edgelooker1 well, it wasnt much either for this sundays tournament (maybe 12-14?), although actually its better, to have a smaller number at the gtd one, because the chances are higher to get itm. which i did yesterday and top3 split the pot. but yesterday was still pretty busy with 4 1/2 tables and 1 2/5 table.

My random rant: (decided not to post this in tipping containment thread since its local specific)

I'm a good tipper and always advocate tipping the dealers, but I was told something tonight that doesn't sit too well with me if true: I was told that not all of the tips go to the dealers/supervisors, that "higher up" takes their cut first (not tax).

Imagine tipping for good service and the company owners/shareholders receive a portion of the tip. (most companies normally benefit already by not having to pay a higher employee wage).

Any motivated online cash players looking for a roommate anywhere in Korea, definitely PM me. I play low stakes 50NL/100NL 6max. Currently paying around $1k rent/utilities in Seoul. Looking to pay less and just focus hardcore on improving, moving up, and making bank. Doesn't have to be Seoul, but anywhere reasonable in Korea is fine.

Looking for either: a) serious and motivated online cash players who are willing to work hard on their game, or b) successful online cash players already doing well at higher stakes than I play.

If key money happens to be an issue for you, I can probably throw down for all of it since I already have a 10k security deposit up for the place I'm currently living in. Ideally we would split everything though. However, the lease for the place I'm in now doesn't end until July 20, so I would have to find someone to take my place if we're to do this before then (shouldn't be too hard I think considering the place I'm living is one of the best in the area).

Any interest or questions, shoot me a PM.

hey guys

I am looking for someone who wants to do a study group. I am playing SNG MTTs (18, 45, mostly 180s) and recently did the transition from STT SNG (before that I used to play Cash Game 6max). Mid-term to long-term I want to play MTTs and 180s only (maybe fill up with 45 and 18s). The stakes I am playing right now are 7$ for the 18s and 45s and the 2,50$ and 3,50$+R Turbos for the 180s.

I have a Korean background but I was born and grew up in Germany. If interested PM me

Just reading the NVG thread where Donger Kim makes a challenge to TooCuriosso1.

I didn't know we had one of the best online HL HU players amongst us locally. If I only could be 1/10th as good as these pros, heck I'll even take 1%, lol.

Thanks, my bad. Thats what I get for jumping to conclusions (thinking he's local) when reading that he just joined 2+2 a couple days ago and listed Seoul as his Location and also wanting to do the challenge to represent his country.
