Nope can't^^ I am outside of Seoul meeting a friend!:/ that's Why I went to today's tourney. Which has been a mistake and I should have knew it myself^^ even though I played like almost zero hands I didn't get any credit... I didn't play my best Cause it was frustrating and I had sick setups... early hands I got called By 54o 58o etc hitting their two pair while I hit top pair decent kicker or over pair getting called on the Flop on a 97x board the other guy hits his two pair on the turn... But there were a few decent players at least on my table... Maybe 2-3? I will only go to the Sunday ones from now on^^ so in two weeks for me

Panickkk,

Gambling age is 19. If you want to get a players card you will need to show your passport. (A players card is not needed to play poker or any other game in the casino, but if you do play other games in the casino, it is advisable to use use a players card to earn "mileage points" which is free money) Getting a players card takes less than 5 minutes, and then you won't have to show your passport or id in the future.

Entering WH casino, they really don't ask for id unless you look Asian. (If you go to 7luck casino, they ask for your players card/passport/id, regardless of what you look like.

Good luck tomorrow.

If you have time to complain here, you're not having fun.

The kind of stuff you post is best left on Dave's ESL Cafe. You have a lot in common with that depressing group.

You seem to have a lot in common with climate change deniers. Must be nice to have a unicorn.

Just looked up some of the upcoming concerts in Seoul:

Limp Bizkit (Olympic Park), this Wednesday night at 8pm in Olympic Hall in Songpa (Line 8).
Michael Bolton on the 21st/22nd
Jason Mraz 24/25th
Tenacious D (Dec 5th/6th).

I had no clue Tenacious D is comedian/actor Jack Black's band, lol.

Thanks Dogarse!

Today is 111111!!! Happy Pepero Day! (Chocolate Stick Day) Although I prefer the probably just as fattening or more special on Mozzarella Cheesesticks at Lotteria (11+11 day). Love those
cheesesticks!

Smille1337 or panickkkk, Any experience playing PLO tourneys? I'll be playing the one on Saturday. (I'll be the fish at the table reading PLO strategy in between hands, lol)

I think the best strat is probably not to get involved in pots early. Probably reg late, wait for blinds to get high and try to play low SPR pots with AAxx, KKxx 789Tsscc type hands. Win your flips and ride the variance. I suck at PLO but I've won the $11 Omania and have two 2nds in the $22 Omania on Stars.

I remember once they had PLO at the underground room I used to play at. I was excited thinking I was just going to destroy these fish stacking off with one pair. It was $1/2 and I bought in for five hundred and every pot was going pot, repot, repot on every street. I couldn't afford to see a turn card, let alone a river. Eventually got it in with about 55% equity on the flop, lost and didn't re-buy. It was a very humbling experience.

Hey, just arrived in Seoul last night and will be staying until sunday. Would be great to play some live poker so what do i need to sign up? Is ID enough or do i need to bring my passport with me as well?

Also can i buy in with euros or should i exchange to WON in advance?

Also what stakes of cash games are running in case of an early bust out

ID is not enough, you need your passport.
Highest stakes running is 2-5 in both casinos.

You can exchange euro in casinos but you'll have to pay fees that are quite high. How much are you willing to change? I am buying euro for Krw at xe.com rates

It would actually be better for me to buy in with my credit card. It seems that ATMs here wont accept foreign credit cards so i was thinking i could buy chips in the casino and then cash them out for krw since im able to use my card everywhere but atms.

If not i would need to exchange 1.5k euro.

I think you might end up paying even more commissions but if not, then that makes sense.
Otherwise just hit me up and we can change that later.

At WH cage you can echange your buy in, save the receipt, and then if you change it back you'll get the full amount so it'll be no vig at all. I've done it twice. Obv if you win you'll have to pay vig on anything you change beyond your initial buy in.

fwiw seoul 2/5 is wayyyyy bigger than pretty much every 2/5 that runs in casinos in the states. uncapped buyin at both coex and walker hill; though there are still a few min-buyin stacks at table always.

that being said the player pool is really small and they do not like to stack off. tons of blinds aren't getting in without a serious cooler....so it isn't really like any >100bb 2/5 game i've played in the states.

coex will also let you in without a passport after you've had a card made, but you need to bring one on first trip there. definitely always bring passport to the casinos if you're asian though as my friends have had issues.

there is pretty easy way to avoid having to pay vig on your winnings: just to keep it in KRW and spend it all drinking

of course can spend it on other life/travel related expenses too...

coex will do the same swap btw. did it a lot of times both places over the summer.

Guys let's get a grindhouse going somewhere in Seoul?? I really want to do this -- I think it will be great for both our motivation and our game. Would prefer full time cash game NLHE players but I'm open to anyone. PM me if interested!
