The vegetarian food options are great, less than their meat based counterparts for sure. can have a few Indian snacks for less than $2.50USD. My only complaint is the oil starts to take it's toll on your health, but I'm a bit of a purists when it comes to stuff like that. But excellent fruits/vegetables.. and the best durians coming from Malyasia!!
Currently at Phuket enjoying the vegetarian festival.. good stuff!!
But food is great in Singapore veg or not! Hawkers centers definately have the best stuff!

Looking for the "Best" is part of what's great there.. always looking.. but East coast park, and the overpopular Newtons Food Center are good bets for the Chili Crab.. but everyone likes to argue which is the best
Many blogs dedicated to Singapore food

Re: Ask Me About Living in Singapore
By the way guys I will be performing table to table magic on christmas and new years eve at the Equinox restaurant during dinner in the swissotel. If I'm not wrong its the tallest hotel in the world. If its not, it's still pretty damn high.
My service is complimentary of course, the hotel paid me to entertain.
Also just type in ' Nick Singh diwali ' in youtube and you'll see a vid I created about Deepavali/Diwali, a festival celebrated among Indians in Singapore.
By the way, restaurant food is overrated unless you appreciate that sort of thing. Food court/coffee shop food is the real way to experience Singapore.
Keep the questions coming!

ah I didn't know that. The thing is, during the formula 1 period, a bottle of champagne goes for 1k (US$770) at the bar in Swissotel. Can't imagine what a room would cost.
Dinner during new year (fantastic view of the fireworks) at the tables where I'm performing cost about 600 per head. Expensive place it is.

Brilliant bargain. The thing is, a lot of the tickets were given out to the sponsors' staff for free as there was low ticket sales for the pricier tickets like the grandstand. I've heard for some going for around $US250 for a pair. On the f1 site though, they were selling it for several thousand each.
Great deal sir!

Interesting, my dad teaches at MDIS now as a 'retirement' job.
Vesj, if you ever need anyone to show you the real Singapore, shoot me a pm. Real Indian food man, not the crap they sell at foodcourts and coffeeshops.

@ blackchili, ur Dad's not a Dr. Wong Chee is he?? coz that's my HRM prof who is retired and teaching! would be a weird coinkidink if it was.
i've found some decent indian food joints in (obv) little india, outside of the tourist tarp restaurants there. know anywhere else? but yeah, I wouldn't mind an insider's track to this town...I'm picking it up, but it might accelerate the process if we hung out...hit me up, i'll PM my number!
