Re: Ask ajrees anything about ITALY

This language school in Bologna looks really sweet. I definitely want to go back to Italy and stay for more than a few days. There is too much to see, the food is great, the women are HOT, and the history is really cool too.

One place that has been mentioned a couple times ITT but not elaborated on much is the island of Capri. If you have a chance to take a day trip out there, be sure to do it. Staying there might be a little tricky though. I don't know the details, but I was told it was the most expensive real estate market in the WORLD and that the only people who live or stay there are high-profile actors, musicians, business tycoons, etc.

Re: Ask ajrees anything about ITALY

Hey guys! I have a few doubts and would love if somebody could help me!

1) I intend to do a long italian course in italy(a semester or more). Preferably based on an university. Any recommendations on cities ? I read the whole topic and it seems like a good idea to go to Bologna, Florenca, maybe Siena or a place in Calabria

2) Live poker: is there a place which has constant action ?

Cliffs: I am going to study italian in italy for a long time(6 months or more).

-a place with lots of students/lots of options is a plus
- low cost of life is a plus
- live poker is a plus
- beach is also a plus

Any recommendation ?

Hi, just read this ... you should look at the university for foreigners in Perugia ... see their websites for info http://www.unistrapg.it/en

Perugia is located whitin 100km from Siena and it's a slightly bigger city (150k ab.)
aniway
no live poker here
and no seaside (there is lake but obviously not the same thing)

Bump for awesomeness.

We're thinking of hitting the Amalfi Coast next year, so I had to read this thread again.

Five stars.

Re: Ask ajrees anything about ITALY

We are visiting Italy for the 1st time in November for 10days... is that too cold there? We are hitting Rome, Venice, Florence and trying to build an itinerary. Any recommendations on guide books or links that would be helpful in creating a really fun itinerary?

Any suggestions on wine tours? Where are the best ones?

Thanks so much.

Re: Ask ajrees anything about ITALY

Have a last minute concern for my trip on thursday. We are flying into Naples, chilling for a few days and I have a car rental reservation for "mini car" (we need an automatic)..then driving through amalfi then back up through tuscany dropping off in Florence....doing some online investigation I think we may be getting one of the Smart Fourtwos; and I'm concerned about luggage capacity...any one with any experience...I booked through expedia so I can change my rental, any one have any tips on renting cars in Italy?

I would like to know if it would be easy to get access to .it pokersites if I were located in Italy.

How difficult is it to play on the .com sites (such as PokerStars.com) from within Italy these days? Is cashing out a problem? I assume you can't withdraw to a bank or Moneybookers account that lists your address as being in Italy.

My understanding is that Italy requires a tax ID number in order to open an account on a .it gambling site. Is this true, and if so how hard is it for a non-EU foreigner, such as an American, to obtain one?

Thanks in advance,

Alan
