Could depend on what season you're going. most people say they can only handle montanita for a couple days - just nonstop party. I was in Canoa for a couple weeks and one weekend was some local holiday and it got infested with people, couldn't walk anywhere without giant outdoor speakers, megaphones, and people all over the place. More drugs in montanita if ur into that, almost definitely better waves.

yea DJI - you switch over to .com when you leave europe. just a software update to continue grinding

About to leave for Cuenca in about 8 weeks!!!! Has anyone tried to deposit on Stars using a Visa credit card that was issued from the US?

Is there anywhere to play some live poker?

Going to Ecuador in 2 weeks. Landing in Manta and going from there. I'm a bodyboarder so I will be checking out all the costal area surf spots. I need good reliable internet and from the sounds of it, it will be a bit tricky in some of these more undeveloped beach towns. I definitely want to and will check out Montanita but i'm thinking that's more a place I want to be a little bit away from, maybe like 30 minute drive. Plenty of nice spots to live at from what I'm seeing but the internet situation needs to be figured out and definitely would like to find a broadband card as back up.

Going for at least 1 month, most likely 3 months and possibly a lot longer if I like the country and find a good spot.

Puerto Cayo looks like a sick beach break to check out, but wondering about internet up there and I see the waves really pick up there around January.

I'm thinking first to head to Las Tunas after a night or two in Manta, maybe stay in Tunas for a week but during that week check out all those coastal spots... Olon, Montanita, Ayampe etc etc.

Preferably like to have good organic high quality food from meats/fish/eggs/fruits/veggies so I'll be trying to find that good **** and also love to have some sexy girls around but those usually come with beaches

Anyone coming/staying down here during this time frame and down 2 go ride waves let me know. Any information on internet and anything else is welcomed & appreciated.

Thanks

Been here for a couple months now. Mostly chilled in Ayampe & Montanita. The problem with Ayampe is the electricity isn't stable. I would 100% live there, it's a quiet, beautiful little surf town. At times maybe too quiet.

I'm in Montanita now... the place they claim is like a non stop party and everything. I mean, it sort of is, but a bit overhyped as far as extreme partying goes.

I'm staying at La Punta (the point) and yes it is a super clean point break, and it's about 10-15 min beach walk from town where all the partying is going on. Waves are awesome right now and it's a lot of fun. Montanita is a bit expensive for Ecuador, but overall compared to US it's pretty good. I'm having a few internet issues right now (paying $100 a month for 3 mbps and if one wants to they can pay more for faster) I'm disconnecting randomly for 15seconds-1minute though few times a day and it's causing me problems. Have guys working on that now though so it should all run smooth.

Overall I'd say Montanita is a good option to check out for grinders who like to surf. There's definitely lots of sexy girls here. The electricity situation here has been mostly stable, I think we've lost electricity a few mornings out of the 2 months i've been here and it's been for a couple hours -- definitely not ideal.

I'm thinking about checking out Peru for some potential spots to live/grind/surf at. The electricity/internet situation is always a prime concern

No casinos in Ecuador, I guess there could be some local secret games, but not that I know of.

I'm loving Ecuador so far after 2.5 weeks!

Anyone happen to be on the coast ...Salinas/Montanita/etc... and would like to hang out?

Also looking for a place to grind tournaments this Sunday 7/31... was just going to Airbnb it, but if anyone could host me....

Hey guys, lots info in this thread thanks.

thinking of going Ecuador. Around June 2017 for few months. What's the best way to meet girls there? Are there good internet sites? Also I have pretty much zero Spanish

Tinder seems fairly popular in Cuenca, and I would imagine the same in Guayaquil and Quito, so that would likely be the best way to meet girls, particularly without much Spanish, maybe 10-20% of the girls on Tinder speak decent English I would say.

so im currently in ecuador staying with some friends for the time being until i move back for good. I have an issue with the address of their residence though..THEY DONT HAVE ONE! lol. its funny to me and really frustrating because every site needs an address and they always need you to verify it. So i could use some advice if anyone has gone though this as well.

I'm sure a P.O. box is the solution but im not making any permanent decisions like that until in return next february or march of 2019 for good. I also dont feel like messaging Stars/888 support right now, i just wanted to see other peoples advice first. I know i'm eventually going to have to when i return though but ill leave that for then. For now, so i can play on stars and 888, i just used an address of a nearby lodge.

Just playing freerolls for now anyway, but ive won a few tickets to big events so im kinda worried im gonna waste it all if they need me to show a utility bill of my residence (which i cant really provide) while im here for the next month.

Also depositing is pretty difficult for now with the US card and not being able to use sites like skrill/neteller/etc because of the same proof of residency issue..but ive scanned this thread and saw that id have to just get a local bank account (but, again, i can do all that when i get my citizenship to make it a little easier.

But for now, im having lots of fun on stars!....888 kinda sucks for freerolls though...betsafe is actually pretty cool with all there promotions though..so thanks to anyone that responds and cant wait to get on the grind!

I am a French citizen, living in the US and married to an Ecuadorian woman. My wife and I were visiting E cuador every year and finally, we have decided to move there.
We are buying a house there but we are not sure either to bring all of our household items from our 5 bedroom house in the US or some of it! According to the link below and as per our conversation with Ecuadorian
https://usgshipping.com/shipping-to-...uador-from-usa
But we still need to have the customs cleared upon arrival and have a truck to bring our items to our new house? My questions are:
- Assuming we will lose about 15 k to sell the items here, is it worth to just buy new items in Chile and do not go to this hassle?
- Does anyone know a reliable Customs Broker in Ecuador who can help us with the clearance and delivery from port of Guayaquil ?

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated,
Samuel

Hi guys

Planning on traveling to Ecuador soon.

Anyone there at the moment? What's daily life like with the virus situation? I'll be heading to the beach towns.

Also, whats the best sim card to get for mobile data? I want the best -fast and with a lot of Gigs to burn through, happy to pay for it.

Thanks!
